Love a good chowder. I have a seafood bisque cooking up right now. The Hatteras Chowder is very similar to Rhode Island's version. Very tastey indeed. Being from MA, I grew up having a cream based chowder. I couldn't tell you the last time I had that. I'm guessing it was when my grandmother was still alive. Thanks for sharing, I'll have to make that.

As that storm rolls up the coast from you, we gat that rain and then a change over to snow tomorrow. Yesterday we got up to 48*, today should be low 50*'s and with the rain tomorrow, we should be able to melt most of the 31" snow dump from last Saturday.

Great story. I learned a lot about spinnerbait fishing from Ken Cook. I have a "beginners Bass Fishing book" I got many years ago and guys like Shaw Grigsby talked about sight fishing with a tube and Stacey King talked about fishing jerkbaits and how to modify them to be suspending jerkbaits. This was back before suspending jerkbaits were a thing. Ken Cook had had an article about spinnerbaits. Wasn't long, maybe 4 pages with some illustrations (my daughter eventually taught me the "big" words). I must have read those 4 pages a thousand times. If memory serves, he was a marine biologist for the state of OK before or during his tourny days? Not really sure, but from what I understand he was a genuine and approachable guy.. Thanks for sharing JB.

Thankfully it was that light powdery snow that blew back in your face, not to mention the blizzard winds that took it sideways. The coast got the wet heavy snow. A lot of beach front homes look like ice castles. Thursday will be about 52*, hopefully a lot snow melt will be happening.

The official snow total for my town was 30.9”. I still have more clean up to do today.

I think we made it beyond "wicked" Sadly, I'm in the 2'-3' area. Seas are little choppy with 21' waves - 18' average.
