Heavy rain (2"-3"), ice (1/2"), snow (4"-6") and temperatures dropping into the teens.

The front is several hours away. It's 58* right now.

February sucks!

Just saw this storm on the weather update.  Quite a ways south of me.  Looks like the bullseye is just south of Chicago.  Up to a foot of snow expected.

Wow, 4-6" seems like a lot for TN. I didn't think you ever got that much?

We got two feet down in the river valley late march 1993. Mount leconte got 12” last weekend, then again it’s just under 6000 feet tall

also, if they are predicting all of what @roadwarrior listed, it will probably be sunny and 75

Today's NBC12 weather report in Richmond called for 2-inches of rain from the storm.

2 inches of rain is hardly a storm for Richmond, more like a regular weekday

i would imagine y’all have gotten 2 inches in a few hours many times in the last 3-4 years

I don't recall.

But, probably.

We're just south of the heaviest snow. Supposed to get 8-12" by tomorrow night. Yesterday was 58* but with probably 5-6" of ice on the ponds no fishing opportunities for at least a few weeks. Darn that groundhog.

It started out last night as rain, then changed over to freezing rain, and sleet.  Luckily we didn't get too much of that.  Now we have about 3" of snow over the frozen stuff.  Tonight it's going to snow again.  We will get around 6" to 9" of more snow before it stops tomorrow night.  Way better than the 20"  of snow they were forecasting  a couple of days ago.

The temp is 46 right now and we are getting a break in the rain. We are under an ice storm warning starting tomorrow. They are predicting an inch of sleet and up to 3/4" of ice from freezing rain. Then we will get some snow on top of that.

I went out today and filled up some gas cans for the generator to use if we lose power. The positive note is if we lose power I won't be on here aggravating everybody. I don't want to use my computer on generator power.

I think we got up to 16 degrees today with 20 mph winds. Total snow accumulation at around 4” .

As that storm rolls up the coast from you, we gat that rain and then a change over to snow tomorrow.

Yesterday we got up to 48*, today should be low 50*'s and with the rain tomorrow, we should be able to melt most of the 31" snow dump from last Saturday.

We got lucky in my area. Got about 2" of rain, some sleet, about 1/4" of ice, and 1" or of snow. Only heard of one power outage in this area where a tree limb took out some power lines.

Temps have been below freezing but is supposed to get up around 40* tomorrow.
