Only need to watch the first minute... I'm only sharing this because I now have a big stash of these. They get chomped

Carolina Rig Thoughts
What an old timer explained to me... imagine the bait is a sailboat on its keel on dry land. The bottom of the keel is the hook bend and the point the tip of the cabin. A ton of smallies (I imagine bigheads too) with pin the bait to the bottom in the process of eating. Going back to the sailboat... if the keel hits the land the boat will fall to one side or the other. The bigger the keel (deeper hook bend) the more the cabin/point moves laterally when it gets on its side. Made sense to me and I've been using regular Worm hooks since with no I'll effects.

Anyone know what frog this is? I'm thinking it's a Japanese lure.
Looks wet. Shimano imports/works closely with Jackall too. Be hard to imagine it not being a product under their umbrella.

Seaguar InvizX vs. AbrazX ?
20lb Abrazx for Carolina Rigs. In 3 years I've broken off 5 Rigs with the stuff (Rugged Champlain and St Lawrence bottoms). I love that stuff

Rods series by Company : Hidden Gems, etc.
Evergreen Combat Stick Moving Special (shower blows rod). Fish with 30lb braid and a leader of your flavor. This rod will work a Shower Blows and Vision 110 great but... chatterbait spinnerbait buzzbait and keitech type swimbait also do very well. It's sort of a quiver killer. St Croix Victory 73Hxf. It's not a heavy... this is as close to the vaunted GLoomis NRX 873 you'll find taper and action-wise. Jigs and Carolina Rigs Megabass Perfect Pitch. Frogs, Magdrafts, flipping, big topwaters and jigs another quiver killer. Short of big cranks these 3 cover most "casting presentations" very very well.

fastest boat you've ever seen
Got passed in a canal in Florida by a Phoenix 721 with a flashed SHO on it. He told us he was over 84 when he passed us.

Can anyone add to this ?
Think of the last time you saw a crayfish or minnow flipping around like a gymnast. Less is more, more often than not.

What is the Point of Rod Sleeves/Socks?
https://rodprotech.com/ This guy's products cover the gamut. All of his socks do what most others do but... several of the models do something really cool that you don't think about. His socks with built in lure wrap covers the bait and keeps the hooks from one rod nicking the line on others. That's a cool piece of Insurance. He has others with built in reel covers that keep hooks and reels from smashing others. Super cool product.

Anyone use a Lamiglas XP Bass rod?
Lamiglas in general run a bit soft and slow compared to others. I used a 703s for drop shotting and a 735c for carolina rigs (great rod for that). 703 will be pretty light for a casting rod.

How far will you travel for a 1 day fishing trip?
We have inland lakes that due to the season not being open, you can't take the bass out to record records. 8-9lb Smallmouth come up spawn on a shelf, then move out to chase smelt over 300 ft. It's an amazing place. I digress. Yes, I'm super spoiled 8 months a year
