Newbie With A Battery Charger Question
20 amp supply is more than sufficient for most all chargers, couple of things to keep in mind is try not to use long extention cords, make sure the cord you do use is rated to handle the loads and are in good condition, get a decent battery check tool, or take the batteries out once a year and have them checked for health, a short in a battery can lead to trouble, and make sure you read all of the info supplied in the manual. As a back up I would suggest a GFI wall socket, electronic chargers have come a long way, but peace of mind for that just incase scenario is always a plus.

First Bass Boat Advice
I like both boats. The best thing you could do is go see them in person and look the boat's over really good, compare the likes and dislikes, Honda engines have not seen very many issues in my area, the fuel economy is one plus I would think about, the other things to keep in mind also are things like tires, you have to buy 4 on one trailer, but only two on the other, small things to consider I know but still worth thinking about. Research every inch of each boat find out the negitives and the positives, take each one out and fish with it, let the owner get you familure with each boat, make sure everything works, if you do all of this it will make the decision much easier for you. Take your time, this is an important step when purchacing your first glasser, if the owner is not willing to work with you, keep looking, just because they look good does not mean they are good. Find out the towing info on your vehicle too, if you do not already have a good truck for towing, this could be another added expence.

What To Do When River Fish Shutdown
Go to Mexico, that's where they all went. lol. Have you tried a drop shot tube? not sure of the water color but the more stained the water is the darker the tube I would use.

What Are Your Confidence Colors?
For me it's not the color itself that I have confidence in, I have caught fish on all different kinds of colors from blue/black to motor oil, it has to be the way each bait is used in conjunction with color to catch fish that I have confidence in. I have confidence in a very broad spectrum of baits and colors... IMO, you have to or you will suffer mentally, especially when you have to go outside of your comfort zone to find fish.

Happy Birthday Nitro
LOL yea it does suck, I was really looking forward to getting out there, but in hind site I am glad I did not get out there and have it break while at WOT or something, guess it just goes to show how important checks are before you get in the water. Other than that I just stayed in and drank my birthday Budweiser...there was enough to help ease the pain, lol. Thank you very very much Jeff !!!!!

Happy Birthday Nitro
Thanx a bunch guy's that really means a lot to me, I hope to and look forward to the day we can all get out and go fishing together, I tried my best to get to Anna this past weekend but as luck would have it, my boat decided not to let me have that opportunity, during my pre check's my throttle cable broke. So I will have to wait and get some time to repair my little hotrod, hopefully before too much longer anyway. Until then I hope you guys have a lot of fun and be safe out there fishing. I feel blessed to have you guy's thinking about me and again I can not express how truly grateful I am for that !!!! God bless !!!!! Nitro

Any Va Members Fish Lately?
No Ej I do not peg the weight, I generally use 3 different size weights when doing this, first I will use a 4/0 hook tied with a Palomar knot 12 to 18 inches above the weight, I use a weight in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 oz, the lighter weights allow me to skip it under docks, the heavier weight allows me to maintain bottom contact when I need it in heavier cover or deeper water. Skipping a rig like this takes time and practice and believe me I have had quite a time learning how to get this rig under docks but the rewards can be awesome. My suggestion would be to use the 3/8 oz to begin with to get the feel for this rig, and get as close to the dock as possible in the deeper part of water, let the bait sink to the bottom, put a little slack in the line and twitch the bait WITHOUT moving the weight, if you do not get a strike after a twitch twitch pause twitch twich pause, slowly pick up your rod tip and move it a couple of feet and do it again and repeat until you are out of the strike zone. Give it a try Ej if you get the chance, this is usually pretty productive if you are not getting bites, keep in mind this is usually very productive in open water too, just make sure you step up to a 1/2 oz weight.

Any Va Members Fish Lately?
Ej, as far as tubes go, this is what I find effective around Va. First I use a flipping tube around heavy cover and in stained water or high wind conditions, my favorite is blue/black 3" flipping tubes, you can use this anywhere you use a C-Rig all you need to do is drop shot it, yes I said drop shot, use a 4/0 hook, this will help with the hook up and make sure you get the fish back to the boat, I rig it only 2" down and leave the hook exposed. Flipping is the most effective way I have found to fish this bait and you can go right behind a lot of people and find fish they miss, it's great around docks. Hope this helps Ej !!!!

Hardest Thing To Learn?
There it is, that one word which really sums everything up for me... patience... with out that you can't do any of the other stuff nearly as effective. It takes patience to learn, understand, perform, and overcome any given day on the water. To me, patience builds confidence, confidence builds success.

Any Va Members Fish Lately?
Time is all we have it seems, but the pointer has done well for me too. I do not spend a whole lot of time with jb's, it's not that I don't have confidence in them, I feel the right opportunity just does not present itself often enough when I am fishing. Usually it has to be a tough day for bites, I have a jb that they will generally follow all the way back to the boat, or close enough for me to get a good look at them, on days like that a different jb is all I will toss once I locate the curious little creatures...although I often wonder why they have never hit that particular jb instead of following it.

Any Va Members Fish Lately?
I looked at those, but then I thought, I really have enough. After reading your post it makes me want to go back and try them though. My friend has the 110's he says they do an OK job but he was just not impressed with the performance, he is going to do a little tweeking to them and let me know.

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
I have a really good friend that won't stay still long enough to fish a spot, we generally cruise right through or around a good location, he ALWAYS ends up with more fish than me when he does this. I asked him why he won't slow down and give me a little time to work a spot, his reply...that way you can't beat ME on MY boat...how dumb is that ? I would take a C-Rig and just drag it around with a lizard or something but I would not have as much fun fishing with him anymore.

What If There Are No Crawdads
P.S. What's the deal with you busting the dwarf man ?...What he wouldn't give you snow white's number ? LOL.
-
What If There Are No Crawdads
yes, yes, and yes, All will work, just work them slow at first to see what they like, drop it in pause, hop hop, pause, hop hop, or try dragging very slowly across the bottom. The clearer the water the lighter the color, slightly stained to stained go with darker colors.

The Strength Of A Bass Jaw
Beautiful man just beautiful !!!! I agree with you here the only difference is I never use a net...unless the fish has really big teeth !!!! One thing I will do however is keep the fish close to the surface of the boat, just incase it decides to start flailing around, all the added stress on the lower jaw is lessened if the fish does not have it's total body weight hanging during that time, if the fish should come loose from your grip the chances of it being injured from a fall are lessened as well.

Best And Worst Piece Of Fishing Advice You Ever Got
Best = From Dad...Son it's not just about the fishing out here on the water, it's time invested in yourself and the time you invest and give to others so that they may enjoy the same thing you do, learn as much as you can and give as much as you can. Worst = From Dad...Just marry the girl...fishing will just be an added bonus.
