Hey guys, my youngest's birthday is this weekend so I can't make it this weekend and since the weather didn't cooperate this past weekend, I have a question, what other timeframe works for you guys?

Hope everyone did well this past weekend, my friend and I did finally get to that lake yesterday and ended up with 25 total, water temp was at 45.7, stained but not heavily, largest being roughly 2.5lbs, best bait was a Rapala rattle trap, red eye chrome with a blue to black top, I tried learning how to fish some of my newer baits and ended up with 5, lost a good one at the boat fishing the Strike King shadalisious for the first time, I learned a lot but more importantly had a great day fishing with my buddy.

I don't get the chance to fish the Potomac as much as I would like, however, I can not find the results of any study compiled to bring about such a proposal, what other options are being considered or available for consideration?

Going to be a pretty chilly start to my fishing year but a couple of friends want to get out and go to a local lake that none of us had ever fished before tomorrow, a small lake but big enough to launch the bass boat on and use for the day, looking forward to the challenge and the day with friends. If it's just flurries and rain that ain't too bad, if we are expecting an inch or more, I'll stay home, I have a hard enough time just balancing myself on solid ground, throw a bit of accumulating snow on the deck and watch the escapades begin LOL !!

K quan, I'll keep an eye on the weather, looks like a half decent warm-up next week, I still may try and hit Anna this Friday as well.

Looks like snow and rain Friday and a somewhat chilly weekend in store as well, I was hoping for a better forecast but it is what it is, what other dates are good for everyone, sometime later in the spring work?

Read the fishing reports around your area before you head out and pay particular attention to the water temps, those will give you a good idea for rigs, this time of year blade baits, hair jigs, deep diving jerk baits, jig and pigs, drop shots, spinners and chatter baits, all could have a place in your fishery, find out what the fish are relating to, deep structure, shallow cover etc... If the water is stained then use baits that give off flash and tend to move a good bit of water, this time of year you have to experiment with all the fronts we get that are back to back to back and don't forget to pack a little patience in that tackle box too ! I'm with Farmer, that's not too bad at all, most of the shops around my area here are at or over $100 per hour, sounds like yours is not far off from that, Way2slow gave me some good advice on my engine issue and I found out about what it takes to properly remove my oil injection and the problems I could have if I didn't follow through, sounds like you have a decent shop, hope all goes well for you !!! I have a creek that runs through our property that I like to use for skipping, the pitching part I use a suggestion that was provided on here many moons ago with the PCV pipe, I don't do it as much as I used to but it still comes in handy, I have also broken the boredom by using one of my old corn hole boards as a target, it's pretty cool when you can get a bait to land on the board and slide in the hole LOL !! I think I need a new hobby...

I really don't have a "Honey-do" list, there are a few things she asks me to do every year like, help with the gold fish pond, I generally take care of everything outside the home and she for the most part takes care of everything inside, she has asked me to reorganize the basement this year which I really don't mind doing because my fishing gear is down there as well, hhhhmmmm, kind'a makes me wonder what she has in mind now that I think about it...

Thank you very much buddy, the wifey and I have been over there helping as much as we can the past few days, the little overachievers have already raised their heads and looked around at everyone, Mason was looking up at his dad's deer head mount for almost a whole minute, we found out last night that neither one of them like taking a bath, as a matter of fact they despise it LOL!! I didn't post any more pics because I was afraid of refreshing the post all the time, proud grandpa syndrome... but I can share a couple more with you guys.

X2, mine was an Ulna clearing, it got to the point that all I had left was the use of my pointer finger and my thumb, don't over do anything, listen to what your doc says it's really important but work your hand as much as you can within those guidelines.

Congrats Jason, There is nothing wrong with being blessed with daughters, that is until they get to the boyfriend age, then it's a little tough but none the less they enjoy the outdoors and sports just as the boys do and sometimes even more, I, like you, thought the same when my wife was pregnant, you will find that you have a precious gift later in both of your lives and may even find yourself wondering why you ever thought like that in the first place, yes, they will worry you maybe more than boys will but, they certainly are one of life's little treasures. I used to love it, like you I too picked it up at a young age, my influences then were my uncle and my dad, Chet Atkins was my first impressionable guitarist who I could only wish to have played like, then along came the likes of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and such, from there as I grew up it became southern rock, 38 special, Molly Hatchet, Lynard Skynard, I picked some others like Rush, Van Halen, AC/DC, Bad Company SRV, and then there was the hair bands and haven't really picked up anything else since 3 Doors down, have not really picked it up much at all since then either but I really enjoyed my time with the guitar.

Don't feel bad about it brother, I'm sure you have read a lot of my posts, if we were all perfect we could not be children in the eyes of God, I'm no bible thumper here but I am one who is not without his own mistakes and lots of them, especially since I found the Internet and started using it, I found your post humorous and nothing else big guy !!!
