  1. Good lord. Nice fish. All of them are giants.
  2. I have the powell 703 glass cranking rod and the tip broke off when I was landing a 2 lber ther other day. Loved it until that happened. I had only had it for like 2 weeks though.
  3. X 2 to all of the responses. I've had great success with the cranks. However the poppers and swim baits have not impressed me.
  4. baby bass colors, blue gill colors, whatever kind of forage there is... just match it.
  5. I ended up getting most of my hits on wakebaits and zoom magnum trick worms around shallow cover. I hope those SC bass like the megabass poppers...youre gonna have plenty yeah I hope so. they arrive tomorrow. yessss
  6. I fished down here to day and it was 71 and still got um on top water my friend. Told ya a couple on cranks got off. > I didn't do anything out of the ordinary though.
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. It's ok Broc I understand you don't approve of my change of colleges aha. But now we'll have some fun head to head on a college scale.
  8. Do they perform any better than the others? I've heard they catch a lot more fish, but I've never used one.
  9. Sounds like you had an awesome time. Great fish too. Wish I could average 100 a day. haha
  10. Has anyone used the megabass poppers? They look amazing but they're just so expensive. Wondering if anyone has used them and how they perform compared to other poppers.
  11. I use a 4/0 twist lock weightless and fish them a lot like a buzzbait. you can work it however you want though.
  12. I use both depending on the situation. I usually throw the Jr. when fishing ponds and the regular when on the lake. Haven't had a problem hooking up with either one.
  13. Also looking at those two. I can't decide on one or the other.
  14. I'm pondering the though of buying a similar setup. Definitely was gonna pair it with the new SX.
  15. Any one have one? If so what do you think about it? Good for the money?
  16. I use the Curado e5. Can't go wrong there. I'd go with a slower gear ratio if I was getting a cranking reel. I like a slower retrieve for cranking.
  17. Pick it up man. I have one and I love it. Can't beat it for that price.
  18. I broke my femur playing soccer and they used about 30 staples. It was pretty sick looking.
  19. I hated lessons personally. If you invest your own time in learning to play and the theory behind music and a guitar you'll enjoy what you're doing a lot more. Without wasting extra money. I've been playing and writing since I was about 11 (now 19). Most songs are comprised of 3-4 basic chords and are relatively easy to figure out. Tablature is nothing except the listing of chords which shouldn't take you very long to understand. I taught myself most of what I know and I just recently went to Nashville to record an album. Check out my purevolume page... http://www.purevolume.com/TorstenHallman Some of my older stuff is also on iTunes if anyone is interesting. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
  20. I have both the Curado and the Revo SX. I think the Curado is smoother and the grips are better, but both are excellent reels.
  21. Noticed a lot of people have been talking about these rods. I have never used one and we don't have anywhere around here that carries them. Wondering what you guys thought about them and whether or not it would be worth getting one. I mainly need it for cranks, senkos, and texas rigs. Thanks
  22. I have the gold series 6'6 M MF and I love it. I'd replace all my other rods with carrot stix if I had the money. I know some people hate them though so I suppose it's personal preference.
  23. Looking to get a new reel to put on a froggin rod. any suggestions?
  24. I think that theres a few articles on here that talk about bass biology. I recall reading a few. Check those out.
  25. thanks guys I appreciate it! Ended up going with the curado
