on that particular weekend you did good at pickwick. it was terrible. we were there all weekend. Tornado warning on friday night. and just terribel weekend all weekend. The bass bite was so bad we switched to cat fishing.

I hope they have the water settled down before the next time i go. We camped the weekend of the 18th on a gravel bar not far from jp coleman. Caught around 60 catfish that weekend. Only managed a few bass 3 i think for the weekend. They just werent biting and i think the water levels had alot to do with it. Saturday night we parked the boat and tied it off on the bank. Only to wake up sunday morning to find the boat sitting on land completely. looked like they dropped the water over a foot over night. Definately was not fun working the boat back in the water with the paddles

I picked up a map from the iuka walmart. has helped out some on showing some of the underwater structure and areas to fish. it was cheap also think around 5 dollars or so.

hmm my best one happened last summer. fishing at bay springs with alot of wind. i managed to catch a 3 or so pound bass and was waiting on my buddy to get reeled back in to pass it on to him to go in the livewell. so i thought what the heck ill keep on standing and prop up on the seat. this is where it goes wrong. not sure if another boat passed or just wind but a wave dipped the boat a little and caused my seat to spin out from under me. i dropped my rod luckily it fell in the boat. the fish fell into the bottom of the boat. i feel across the console and knocked the fish finder out of its holder. somehow i managed to catch the fish finder in the air with my right hand. my left arm and head were completely under water, right hand held up in the air with the fish finder and my very good friend managed to somehow catch me by my belt and hold on to me while i climbed back into the boat. we were in about 20 foot of water. think we laughed about 30 minutes before we could fish again. luckily i had another shirt in the boat.

weather hasnt cooperated since :'( however this weekend is looking promising hoping to have some great pics from the pickwick trip this weekend!

oh yeah. a tournament and the water is high. hopefully we can find a spot to camp on the water!

figured i could donate to this thread. Here's one my gf caught last year. She would go everyday if we could. She caught this on a fluke at pickwick!

planning on putting at jp coleman and camping either on the water there somewhere. gonna put up a tent and do it old style. thinking of doing noodles for the catfish. and then chasing the bass for the rest of the time! hopefully the weather will cooperate and it will be a great weekend!

my girlfriend goes all the time! only trouble is she will try and catch more than anyone in the boat. ;D

yeah it was nice to get out but now its gotta rain the next two days. grundlelove - i have no idea. i asked him how many 1 ounce weights he had to put in it to get it to weight that lol ;D

Pulled the boat out today to make sure it would run and do a little fishing to start off 2011. First fish of the day A guy I fish with also sent me a picture of an 11 pounder he caught today!!!

ha i didnt argue i just said ok and picked out my rod. just a thought hit me while i was getting the rod and i went back and asked the guy at the counter if he would take 129 for it since i was going to buy a rod and he agreed! And i didnt swap any sticker or tag.. all the reels are locked up in a case.

well they had an sx on top of a s box. i knew better but played stupid. I worked in retail for several years and i remember what it was like to have people that just ranted over stuff. I bought one of the skeet reese crankbait rods. Always wanted to try one so now i must wait for the storms to pass! :-/

man i would love it if someone would show a picture write up of one of these they did. I'd like to see how you attach the hooks and everything to the body and the bill also..

well went into dick's today to buy a new crankbait rod.. noticed in the case they had a revo sx for 99 bucks. called the sales guy over and he figured out it was mismarked. told me i couldnt have it for that. but they did accept my offer of $129 ;D...

between an s and an sx i have to give it to the sx. i have an s, sx, stx, and a winch. just bought another sx today. The sx and winch are my two favorite...

well without looking at it i'm really not much help. but talk about "hull" ground reminds me when i was trying to check voltage on mine and realized i was checking off the wrong ground. just a thought!
