  1. Perhaps you could share those secrets with us???? RW just keeps proving what a stand up guy he is!
  2. Geez that's dedication...
  3. Yet another reason not to beleive everything you see on TV! Yea 12lb flouro wouldn't last long on Lake O unless they were fishing the rim canals, and even then.....
  4. Gotta love spring break. Took my kids out today off the alley with good results too. Everything from the alley to tamiami has been on fire lately. The fish are eating good, 1.5lb heads on 3lb bodies, little footballs.... You did good Bruce mine only lasted 5hrs
  5. I have heard that this damages their slime coat, however I've seen many other members take pictures with fish laying on the ground. That being said it doesn't necessarily justify my actions yet I wanted to have proof rather than say that I caught five bass weighing that much. So if you want to help that's fine, but if you're in it to critisize others in a negative/bullying fashion than I would appreciate you keeping your comments to yourself. Well said... Congrats on a nice bag
  6. Your the man Big-O. Always look forward to your pics... love your baits. Have you (or have you considered) written any articles for the site on big fish hunting? I'd realy like to know how you do it man
  7. Hey you would probably get some great and specific advice if you let everyone know where your fishing
  8. Awesome video! I love "It's got a zoom", "Well your already here now..." lol
  9. Your the man Capt! Nice catch as always
  10. Nice one dude your back yard is the BOMB!
  11. That's a nice Lake O bass you got there! I think I'd have a big ole grin on my face holding that hawg.. you looked ticked it wasn't 10lbs
  12. Nice fish dude! You have two motors on that badboy?
  13. Guys be very careful on lake O. I hit a rock out of the Clewiston Cut over the weekend which completely wrecked my lower unit. This was in the main channel and I was between the markers. Earlier last week fishing was awesome on the lake, the front seemed to shut them down somewhat but hopefully it will pick back up soon.... I'm out of commission for a while but still looking forward to getting back up there
  14. Luckily there are enough gators to keep them from skiing out there. Otherwise Holiday would start to look like Markham Park on the weekends. And Markham has become a useless fishing location. I still see an occasional wave-runner at Holiday, that makes me cringe too.
  15. Wait..... I thought senkos didn't catch big fish.... Congrats on your win, way to spank 'em
  16. I fished between 35 and 41 last week after one our fronts. The whole place was over-run with gars and mudfish, never seen so many before.. Caught one bass in half a day... 3 mudfish 2 gar It sucked! But hey that was last week
  17. Exactly... seems like every year theres a few who do a little to good
  18. That's awesome. I've heard from several people that Roland is a very approachable person and all around nice guy.
  19. There may be as many as 50 boats it's become a popular event. Bring your "A" game on Sunday! Good luck your first tourney will be a tough one
  20. This is how I do it in my jon boat with no depth finder, or fishing from the bank. It takes some practice to get used to but it works great. After a while you'll be finding underwater structure and cover like a pro.
  21. My kids always bring a book and a gameboy... When the action picks up they start fishing again, when it slows down they read for a while. After a while they get that look of complete boredom and I'll head to the dock. I can usually get a good six hours this way. Oh and I always let them do some driving, they like that the most (trolling motor and main engine with guidance).
  22. Good luck guys! Your gonna have some good competition out there
  23. Those are some great fish you got there! To answer your question about the spawn.. traditionally it comes in the spring. However last year I was catching fish on Lake O in late October that looked like they were ready to pop. Down here in the everglades I have caught several 4"-8" bass this year . I have also seen a lot of beds recently. I pulled a nice fat girl off a bedding area last week. So some fish have obviously already spawned.
  24. I thought the water would be down too but it's not! I didn't go to Holiday, but I was out at the Sawgrass north ramp and MM35(Miami Canal) off the Alley, and I can tell you the water has not dropped yet. I took a few photos of the entrance to the flats (airboat trails) but for the life of me I can't figure out how to post a photo on this site. Anyways I went several hundred yards down a few airboat trails and the water was 2-4ft. Where's water management when you need em'?
