  1. I fished there in September. Did ok. The 8lber in my pic is from that location. Don't know how it would be to walk the banks there, but in a boat it is about a six mile stretch end to end. Nothing special IMO.
  2. I would fish residential lakes before I fished Tamiami from the bank. There are big fish in some of those lakes. Google earth your area there are lakes everywhere.
  3. Classic. No the foundation savers don't let the hydrant blockers fish this one. There is a police/ fire tournament later in the year.
  4. I'd be ecstatic with 19lb at Holiday these days.
  5. Tandem silver willow with white skirt. I always use a trailer no problem. Good luck!
  6. The area you fish is heavily dependent on wind direction for the particular day. I was up there last week, there was a good topwater bite all day long near observation shoal. Big fish still coming from flipping if you can stand that sort of thing. I'll see you up there look for me in the white and blue Stratos w/ 150merc. Tom
  7. I will try to be there Shane. Won't know til it gets closer
  8. that good huh lol
  9. So what were the results?
  10. Watermelon senkos catch fish anywhere man, try it.
  11. If your guide stuck you in the dynamite holes yesterday then he did bad by you. Today was a different story. Bad day to be on the lake.
  12. Never done well out there myself. Apparently all the resident KOTG people aren't doing so well either. They are usually first to post thier big bags..
  13. Exactly. Shane will be the best and most informative part of the show, unless your looking for cigars or food.
  14. Where is KOTG this weekend?
  15. Nice video and fish Shane.. I gotta admit though I find stuff like prop washing funny. I thought the fish were darker down here because they get better sun-tans down here?
  16. I think gar-tracker was refering to the rim canal being the deep part around the edge of the lake.
  17. Congratulations on the new boat! You will find out pretty quickly where you can/ can't go when you arrive at Lake O. If it's windy I would stay off the main lake. There are plenty of entrances off the rim canal. I'm suprised to find that no one had mentioned the three most important words when it comes to Lake O: "Find Clean Water" Do that and you can throw almost anything... Good Luck.
  18. Are you bank fishing? I didn't catch that earlier if you are. Let me know and I'll send over some info
  19. That area can be very tough when the water gets as high as it is. Best bet is making your way into the flats. Of course that is also tough right now, the drought earlier this year has many trails grown over.. Went out of Holiday a few weeks ago into some old trails I had on my GPS. They were so grown over and tight I had to jump in the water just to get my boat turned around. Personally, when the water gets this high, I enjoy fishing Holeylands or the Fingers off US 27. Both areas have solid banks that keep the fish in the canals. The lures you described work well in both those places.
  20. Very nice Shane! Only on Lake O do you have to chase down the fish with the boat
