Our local Dick's is sparse on fishing gear, but they did just open up a Field and Stream close by. Granted, it ain't no BPS, but It's a great alternative. Also, they have a lot of stuff that we don't have at BPS. Hootie

Seems to me the biggest complaint has been, not so much the reels, but the price. Notice, now that they can be had for $100.00 even some of the critics are jumping on them. And as Martha Stewart says, "that's a good thing". Hootie

I guess it's really, is it worth it to you. I have several Loomis rods and to me they are the best. I have none higher than the IMX. I can't comment on the GLX or the NRX. However, my favorite are the GL3's. I prefer them over my IMX's. I have one spinnerbait model that is really nice. That's my 2 cents. Hootie
