Nice, it was warm for us too..great that you can see grass.  I still have a ways to go, but for the first in a long time there are dry spots on my driveway.  (No snow or ice or water)...

Very true!  I can't wait for the thaw, as soon as it gets warm enough I'm heading to the river.  Course I'll be banking it in the beginning as I'm sure the river will be pretty rough when the thaw happens.

Have my spring "guys trip" lined up two weeks from today.  I'm getting pumped.  I LOVE SPRING!

 

Although, as i get older and have kids, all the d**n tornadoes are making me like Fall more and more.  

I'm glad I live where I can fish 12 months of the year although when I lived in Oklahoma I always managed to find a way to fish even when it was 3 below one morning.  I don't do cold very well now, and if it ever snowed in S. California I wouldn't leave my house.  People out here have a hard enough time driving in the rain. 

65 degrees here today after single digit highs last week. Our ice will be gone by the end of this week 

Spring........ Snow and Ice yesterday morning and a high of 67 today. I have no concrete idea's about what my fishing afternoon will hold other then It's going to be nice to be on the water!

Lol...still got 20inches of ice on the lakes here in northern PA

Was on lake yesterday in boat for first time since operation first of Feb. Was soooo awesome. Sixty degree day but still had sweatshirt on due to fact have lost so much weight. Water temp was around fifty. Me and friend got about six keeps up to about three pounds....it felt soooo goood. Praise the Lord

Supposed to hit 64 down here on the Peninsula today. Planning (well, hoping) to get out on the yak at some point today.

Warmed up here a bit as well.  Of course "warm" is a relative term. 

 

Fishing is still a long way off but add this to the time change and there may actually be a spring this year.

The weather is beautiful down here as well. It looks like a small fart of a front is coming in Wednesday evening, but it's small compared to most this winter.

The only thing I worry about is a repeat in south Louisiana from 2011. When all this "snow" you poor saps have thaws, the mighty Mississippi brings it south and floods all of our prime bayous, rivers, and even most southern tidal systems connected to it. In 2011, most of those areas were not fish able until the end of July. This year is predicted to be much worse.

Anyone have a spare room and the back of their boat available? Haha.

Thank goodness for redfish! Oh, and my work pond that I fish before/on lunch/after work. Largest bass caught from it so far was over 9 lbs.

Weather is going to great this week I think it has finally as turned but it is VA. weather changes from day to day

 

We live about 20 minutes from where we have our camper on the lake and my wife and I are ready to start our spring, summer and fall routine which is living in the camper and fishing every weekend and evening when we can and only going to the house to wash clothes and cut grass.

It's slowly warming up here as well! Yesterday was warm, I took a quick trip down to a pier on Lake Ontario, lots of broken ice but I did find a spot to make a few casts and try out my new rod and reel.  Didn't catch anything, bass season is a long ways away here, but it was nice to get out! Going to try again this afternoon, maybe play with some jerkbaits and new drop shot plastics! 

I saw a fly today. First one since last October. Then seen a moth on my front door this morning. Spring is coming for sure.

Attended a high school exhibition baseball game last night.......against my will a little. Got pretty chilly after the sun went down..........but you know when you start watching baseball that fishing is very close at hand.

So after above freezing temperatures the last few days (birds chirping, sunny days), we are expecting snow Wednesday and -12 C.....Oh mother nature you so tease me so.

80 In Mid Missouri today, Snow in the forcast tomorrow with a high of 36.

I don't always get excited about fishing in early March...but when I do, it's because yesterday was 51 and the extended forecast looks warm!

 

 

...of course by warm I mean high 30's to low 40s, which feels like 60 in my mind after the winter we just endured!

if I only remembered what grass looked like. It was in the upper 40s, lower 50s the last three days. The snow started to melt but now we are getting 8" of snow and 1" of ice tonight into Thursday. Spring will never hit Ohio.
