Tacticool
I always laugh when I see that photo. Never seen that version though. The one I saw had the caption "Don't worry Sir, I'm from the Internet."

AFC / NFC Chamionship games
Colts over Vikes

NFL this weekend...who you got?
Colts... my pick to win it all. close game Saints... in a shootout Vikings... I think the Vikings D will smother Romo and bring out his usual late season play. Vikes are my NFC pick. Jets... It's a toss up for me but I don't dislike the Jets enough to root for the Chargers.

New handGun
1911's are great firearms but not for everbody. As mentioned before I would look into .357 revolver, i prefer a 4" barrel. This would give you a wide variety of uses out of one firearm. I like Rugers (GP-100 or better yet a Security Six). Although as far as a home defense weapon though it is hard to beat a shotgun. My 870 sits in the closet with six rounds of 00 buck ready to go and some slugs on the stock.

First time gun buyer looking for suggestions
+1 on the 870. I have two of them (Express SuperMags) and I love them. I have a rifled slug barrel with cantilever scope mount, the 26" vent rib barrel with removable choke tubes, and a 20" cylinder bore barrel with rifle sights. So with the one gun I can do everything from shoot clays, hunt small game, hunt waterfowl and turkey, deer hunt, and use the 20" barrel for a tactical/home defense setup. Anytime a friend of mine is looking for their first gun I point them to the 870.

The Hurt Locker
BDS II is good. I drove two hours to see it and was not dissapointed. Had not heard of Hurt Locker until yesterday but I will check it out sometime.

Frank Mir
I think Mir is a top HW but I think some of the wrestlers can give him problems. I think a Carwin, Velasquez or a healthy Nog would give him a run for his money. Cigano would also be a challenge for him, imo. I also think it is a little early to judge this new, bigger Mir b/c that was a very short fight. I think he would gas in a fight that got late into the 2nd or 3rd rounds. I am a Kongo fan but he has pretty much no ground game so once he got down it was over. Also, BJ is a bad man. I don't think any one is going to beat him till they figure out how to take him down, and then it still won't be easy. Good card though, I enjoyed all fights.

Handgun Purchase
Nice gun man. I almost bought one of those myself a few weeks ago. However, I didn't want to add another caliber to the mix at the time( I shoot .45 and .357/.38) so I ended buying a 2 1/4" Ruger SP-101. I will end up getting one eventually though. Keep in mind that should you decide to do so you can get caliber conversions for that gun so you can shoot 9mm or .357 SIG out of it.

Alabama vs Florida who wins it?
Well, I feel stupid, I voted for Florida by accident. Guess that is what I get for posting when tired. Anyway, I will be rooting for Alabama to win. I will also be rooting for the Huskers to beat Texas so I can see a Bama vs. TCU championship game.

Gun Question..
I dont know what your budget is but take a look at Rock Island Armory 1911's. You can get the GI version for not much more than $300. I have never shot a Hi Point but I have heard they are fairly accurate and fairly reliable but they are big, heavy, and UGLY.

Handgun Advice- Buying
I am also a fan of the .40. Although it is pretty snappy especially in smaller weapons. For a carry gun I would look at the Glocks, XDs, or even Smith and Wesson M&Ps. You can get a NIB Glock or XD for less than $500 in my neck of the woods. I am actually fixing to buy a Glock 23 and it is priced at 479.99

Everyday Carry Knives
I carry a Benchmade Griptillian with a D2 blade. I wish I would of got the mini though b/c the regular size is a bit large. I used to carry a CRKT M-21 but I could not get the thing to sharpen or hold edge very well. The CRKT M-16 is a good one I wish I wouldn't have lost mine. Also, +1 on the SOG knives. I love my Seal Pup, it is my go to hunting knife.

Favorite Beer
Usually Miller Light or Bud Light b/c its cheap but I really love some Killians or Dos Equis Amber.

WAR FEDOR
I am really excited about this fight and will be rooting for Fedor. I am also almost as excited about Mousasi v. Soukodjou. Soukodjou is an amazing athlete but usually lacks cardio and I just watched some of Mousasi's fights and this man is a beast. He did an exhibition with Fedor that was pretty impressive. If you get a chance Google him, Gegrard Mousasi.

The Boondock Saints II...
I have been waiting for this movie for months and just found out that it isn't showing anywhere w/in driving distance to KY.

The Ultimate Fighter
I am pretty sure Wes Simms has not beaten Frank Mir twice. Shortly after that comment he also said he doesn't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Sports rivalries
I would have to say it is OSU and UM. I don't like either one of these schools but I always try to watch the Buckeyes and Wolverines go at. I would put a lot of the SEC rivalries up there as well. Plus there is the Raiders and most everyone else. I once heard that being a Charger fan in the mens bathroom at a Raiders game was one the most dangerous places in the world.

Buying phone on ebay?
I bought a SLVR on ebay a few years ago. I made sure to buy from a seller with good feedback and used paypal. I got a good deal and everything was fine. The phone ended up being from Italy so there a few quirks to get used to but I was not disapointed. I am looking into getting another phone and will probably use Ebay just make sure the seller is legit. My main reason for not buying from ATT is that I don't want to renew a contract with them. I am happy with my service but like to keep my options open, I haven't been under contract in 2+ years.

Which fight did you see?
I watched UFC 103. I find boxing to be very boring for the most part.

2003 Chevy Silverado 1500
I have an 06 Sierra with the 4.3. Mine is a reg cab SWB 2WD auto. I get decent gas mileage, around 20 last time I checked, and have plenty of power for what I need. I have not been dissapointed with my truck and it has almost 60,000 miles on it.

Inglorious Basterds
Anyone seen this movie yet? I saw it yesterday and it was awesome. My favorite Brad Pitt role ever, and maybe my second favorite Tarantino movie ever, Pulp Fiction being first. Very gruesome and a lot of bad language but still a good movie. If you are not a Tarantino fan though it might not be for you.

BAD OWNERSHIP
I can't wait for the Raiders to be under new ownership.

Surprise NFL teams this year..
I have not kept up with offseason news as much as usual but I would not count out Atlanta. Also, most every year I look for Houston to be a challenger but get dissapointed maybe this year will be different. I think the Pats could be great even though I don't like them. I will wait until Brady is challenged by an in his face defense before I decide if the old Brady is back. I just hope my team, the Raiders, makes it to .500.

Pistol for the ol lady
I wouldn't count out revolvers but that is just me. If you are set on a semiauto I would go with a compact Glock or Springfield XD or S&W M&P. One thing to keep in mind though: if this gun is for the "ol lady" it needs to fit her. Let her pick it out and make sure she can get a comfortable proper grip on the weapon. Also make sure it is something that she will shot enough to be proficient with. Another thing to consider is ammo. I know in my neck of the wood .380 is almost impossible to find at a reasonable price but Wal MArt seems to have 9mm and .40 almost every time I go in there. I personally carry a 1911 Govt. in .45 ACP until I can get me a Ruger SP101 or a .38 snubbie

Question for those who have bought used reels off of Ebay
I would go with choice one. Communication is key in internet transactions. I always give people an opportunity to make things right.
