I don't own those but since you asked for recommendations... I use a MBR 843C GLX for all things weightless.. The reel I use is an older Chronarch 100SF spooled with 14# Sniper and wouldn't change a thing. I'm sure any reel of your liking would be a great fit and give you what you're looking for. Mike

I have never had to "pre stretch" the Flouro I use to make it handle. Years ago it was recommended that mono be pre stretched but not pure Flouro lines. And yes it would weaken if stretched. Just use quality line, spool in the correct direction (off the top) periodically spray with a line conditioner during spooling and the night before an outing If left sitting for any length of time and you're good. Given the lines you're asking about, I'd use either braid depending on the cover you fish in most of the time. And whatever of your monos (can't believe I just typed that) you like for the spinner/chatter baits. Mike

As stated all Flouro is not created equal. In regards to fishing, Its the very definition of you getting what you pay for. I use 100% Flouro (Sniper or Shooter) on every combo I own except 2. Yes, a quality line is more expensive and there is a learning curve and useing a conditioner helps. However, Once you master the nuances of it you'll understand why it's as popular as it is. Mike

I know a few guys who use 80# Power Pro exclusively for punching through the heaviest of hydrilla down here. They swear by it but they are in the minority. 65# is much more common. Is it needed? Probably not but there were a few times last year that I had a few concerns about my 65# Its a confidence thing. Mike

I may be wrong here, but one of the reasons to use micro guides is to keep the line closer to the blank which helps the overall sensitivity throughout the length of the rod. So maybe they feel the added benefit is to small to make a discernible difference in thier product. Or Not... Mike

Another Southern boy here who fishes all year. Maybe 50.00-75.00. But Between all the gift cards I get for Christmas and birthday from family and friends, it's been years since I've spent my own money on anything. Mike

Depends on what and where. Heavy cover, frogs and C Rigs I'll usually use heavy line on a heavy rod and go down from there. Mike

Hello and Welcome! Most folks on here use Flouro leaders, some exclusively. I'm one of the odd balls as I do not...ever. To me it's another knot that may let loose, plus I don't subscribe to the notion a bass won't hit a plastic because they see the line, get scared and just turn away. Now all that said, those who believe in some of the advantages it has will be along and give thier reasons. Most will be valid by some very good fisherman. It'll be your preference what you do with it. Mike

Inexperienced anglers don't know what they don't know. All they know is...Something has to be better than what I own so tell me what it is.,.But no more than 100.00 I try this to do that, but it doesn't work for me, what am I doing wrong? What is the best line for the this bait but it has to be cheap. Or what color is best...Why is my friend better than me... After a while it gets redundant and sometimes I purposely don't give an opinion because it was already posted 1/2 doz times. But then I feel bad because at one point I was just like him. UGH!!! Mike
