  1. So sorry to hear this Rest In Peace Pal. Mike
  2. I guess I ought to be more clear. I pull The attaching plastic off the flange as designed but leave it attached. That little piece wiggling under the flange gives it just a little more. Mike
  3. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  4. Agree The whole Harris Chain is kinda overlooked except for you locals up there of course. Eustis has always been my favorite, just don't get up there enough. Mike

  6. In my uneducated simple mind my favorite reels are the Curado E, 100sf and Chronarch Ci4. Mike
  7. It's a big lake, depends on where you're gonna launch. Clewiston..Roland and Maryann Martins Resort or Best Western Lakeport (Harney Pond)..Lakeport Inn (I would drive from Okeechobee) Okeechobee (Scott Driver or Okeetanie)...Pier 11 Motel or Travel Lodge Mike
  8. Find a used Techna AV and stop looking ? Seriously, I've said this many times on here. IMHO The Techna is the best rod they ever made and on par with many higher end rods made today. Mike
  9. Good for you!! Mike
  10. Skinny Dipper for wiggle Big EZ for thump Mike
  11. Point taken...Yes thats the way they are designed. It's just a modification like any other but happens to be on a plastic..I do it only on the Cut R because I believe that extra vibrating tail above the flange helps when rage rigged with the flange facing down. Mike
  12. Personally I think Rage plastics have the most action of any plastics you can buy, certainly better than the power bait line. But that's me. As was said, the one's with the tab should be pulled apart. I use the Cut R with it loose but leave it attached. Mike That thing is a killer!! Mike
  13. The Cut R is my #1 plastic..In case you didn't know, when swimming rig with the flange down. For more vertical presentations rig flange up...It does make a difference Then The Bug and Craw. I've been useing the Recon worm more and more latley also. Mike
  14. I don't know why you all are so surprised! Its only winter if you look at a calendar. It was 81 deg at the house today. You guys need to get out more! ?? Mike
  15. They should be just starting to bed, have you seen any? There are beds on the west and south end of Okeechobee last weekend. Now the fun starts!! Mike

  17. Hello and Welcome! There is no bettter way not only to be successful as a co angler but as fisherman than to "Work, Listen, Learn". A lot of folks here who fish tournaments do so from a boat which if I was a lot younger I would be too, but you certainly don't need one. Believe it or not there are advantages to being a co angler as long as you have the right frame of mind going in, and never lose it. Take it from someone who has been called a "professional co angler"...Never lose that attitude! If you keep working, listening and learning you can't help but to be successful. I wish you the best of luck. Mike
  18. Hello and Welcome! Mike Hello and Welcome! Mike
  19. The entry fee is per tournament. There are 5 tournaments total. 4 one day, and the Super is a 2 day. Mike
  20. I can't believe I read through this whole thing! Mike
  21. I don't adjust what I throw by 10 deg increments. That would drive me nuts if bass in my waters are that sensative and susceptible to such a narrow range. I throw plastics all year round but will change the length, action and retrieve as the water cools. Mike I don't adjust what I throw by 10 deg increments.
