  1. I Always use a trailer hook but rarely a trailer. Mike
  2. I personally like the longer skirt on a SB. Especially Strike King. It hides the trailer hook a little and when useing a stop and go or jigging type retrieve, the extra strands give it more flair. Mike

  13. It would be easier to learn with a centrifical only reel or both. The mag brakes by themselves won't help you with preventing backlashes when casting or with casting distance Mike
  14. Worms...Same as every year, always was and always will be. Each year has its new and improved, gimmick or designer lure or a new presentation or style of fishing catches on. Some work great for some people, while some just work for others. 2016 is no different. Mike
  15. You just have to try both ways and find you own comfort. When I used to use spinning setups I casted with my right and reeled with my left. However for casting I cast right and reel right, and pitch from either. I have never lost a fish because of the transition. It just feels better. There is no right or wrong. Mike
  16. There's no answer to your question specificly...All you can do is upsize your offering, fish in what can be called the best taget rich environment in your lake, and use all you've learned about all the where's, how's and when's...And for me at least don't press. Make smart decions and go fishin. If you come up with a better way, you can adopt me! Mike
  17. Either a keel weighted hook as described above, or I'll use a glass bullet on the hook eye whenever I want to go weightless. Mike
  18. If I understand your question. ..Just buy any bullet weight you want in the size you want and peg it to the hook useing a bobber stop or an insert. Mike
  19. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  20. I only use tungsten because of the size in relation to lead. I agree with Primtime, the sensitivity of tungsten does notning for me in the waters I fish. You guys who fish in and around rock, wood or hard bottom waters can find it as an advantage. Mike
  21. Yes, it's the same premise. Mike
  22. Doesn't matter. Keep the wind at your back or at an angle that will allow your casts to hit your target area. I'll stay home from a planned outing only if there is lightening. Anything else just doesn't matter. Mike
