Shaky head questions
I use the Chompers spot remover and the Megastrike Shake2 ewg pro model which is a little more expensive but work also for fatter baits and would recommend both. Mike

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Well based solely, 100% on the recommendations I read here, I bought some blue gill flash Keitech Swim Impact Fat swim baits to use Sunday at a tournament on the Big O. I think I got the wrong color as I normally wouldn't throw something that light in the mostly tanic water down here. Gonna use them anyway. Mike

Is there such a thing as "too much of a good thing"?
There's an old all saying we all heard and know it to be true, just sometimes we forget it... "That's why they call it fishin and not catchin" Mike

Best bait for a lake?
Not knowing anything about that lake, I try throwing differnt cranks in all areas of the water column, throw some swimming baits (swim baits, Cut R's etc) in scattered grass, and jigs all over the place. Mike

Fishing Spares Vegitation
The fish told you what they wanted and how they wanted it! That's what we all hope for every time we make a cast. I don't understand why you would even think about changing everything up. Wait till they're done chasing then try to fire them up again with a totally different presentation. Just my opinion Mike

Is there such a thing as "too much of a good thing"?
That's tough one man! You did everything I would have and have done. As Catt said, sometimes no matter what you do will work even tho there is no conceivable reason why it shouldn't. That happened to me one time on the St.Johns River. We followed them for maybe 1/2 mile and between the 2 of us we couldn't get bit trowing the same things you did. However, when they finally slowed and scattered we did. Don't know why. You found em which is the only thing you can control. After that it's not up to you anymore. Mike

Fish Culling
If he already had a limit and caught his 6th, he tossed the LM because maybe the spot was heavier and the reporter doesn't understand what he was seeing? Mike

Dobyns Savy vs Phenix M1
At one time the M1 was at the top of the Phenix line. I got the MH/F to use as my dedicated bottom contact rod and really liked it. It is light, sensative, strong and balance's perfectly with a Curado I. It is now my dedicated spinnerbait / chatterbait rod only because I wanted something a little heavier for the waters I fish.
