  1. I use the Chompers spot remover and the Megastrike Shake2 ewg pro model which is a little more expensive but work also for fatter baits and would recommend both. Mike
  2. Well based solely, 100% on the recommendations I read here, I bought some blue gill flash Keitech Swim Impact Fat swim baits to use Sunday at a tournament on the Big O. I think I got the wrong color as I normally wouldn't throw something that light in the mostly tanic water down here. Gonna use them anyway. Mike
  3. Ditto Mike
  4. There's an old all saying we all heard and know it to be true, just sometimes we forget it... "That's why they call it fishin and not catchin" Mike
  5. Not knowing anything about that lake, I try throwing differnt cranks in all areas of the water column, throw some swimming baits (swim baits, Cut R's etc) in scattered grass, and jigs all over the place. Mike
  6. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  7. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  8. The fish told you what they wanted and how they wanted it! That's what we all hope for every time we make a cast. I don't understand why you would even think about changing everything up. Wait till they're done chasing then try to fire them up again with a totally different presentation. Just my opinion Mike
  9. That's tough one man! You did everything I would have and have done. As Catt said, sometimes no matter what you do will work even tho there is no conceivable reason why it shouldn't. That happened to me one time on the St.Johns River. We followed them for maybe 1/2 mile and between the 2 of us we couldn't get bit trowing the same things you did. However, when they finally slowed and scattered we did. Don't know why. You found em which is the only thing you can control. After that it's not up to you anymore. Mike
  10. Now That makes sense, done it myself. Mike

    Hello and Welcome! Mike
  13. Jeff, Please tell him I said hello. He, I and Mike from Siebert's fished together at the Wilson Lake Roadtrip. I learned more from him and Mike about jig ledge fishing than I ever have. (When he wasn't loseing jigs that is!) Mike
  14. If he already had a limit and caught his 6th, he tossed the LM because maybe the spot was heavier and the reporter doesn't understand what he was seeing? Mike
  15. As a co-angler the more options I have is critical to me. Spare spools is one of them. Mike
  16. I agree, the more new faces we have the better..I was just thinking about the old ones. Mike
  17. This is what I have to do also. ..useing braid helps. Mike
  18. Ditto... When on the water I grab an ice cube in my hand and drip the water on the lense and wipe with a small piece of cotton towel I keep in my bag for that purpose. Mike

Hello and Welcome! As much we all want to catch a fish, there is nothing better than to watch your kids land one!! Mike
  20. Now that you mention it, I think you're right. I stand corrected! Mike
  21. To some of you older guys, whatever happened to...Brian Needham, Sir Snook A Lot I know Sir Snook is careing for his wife, but was just wondering... Mike
  22. Hello and Welcome! Mike
  23. At one time the M1 was at the top of the Phenix line. I got the MH/F to use as my dedicated bottom contact rod and really liked it. It is light, sensative, strong and balance's perfectly with a Curado I. It is now my dedicated spinnerbait / chatterbait rod only because I wanted something a little heavier for the waters I fish. Mike
