  1. Thanks Always liked that guy Mike
  2. I’m a purist… Silent Night Little Drummer Boy Mike
  3. My favorite is a double espresso just way it comes out. French Press is smoother without an after taste but it’s a lot of work at 5:00 am We also drink Community Coffee but lately the Boss has started buying Happy Belly Kona Blend K cups for a quick one That’s also only available on line I can’t stand any of the Starbucks blends as they taste like dirt to me. Always black, no additives Mike
  4. Don’t know how to confirm manufacturing date but I have one that I bought at least 15 yrs ago. I use it every outing and haven’t touched a setting since. Excellent line of reels that doesn’t get a lot of run on here Mike
  5. The longer and fatter the better Mike
  6. Well, I guess I put way too much thought into this. Mike
  7. To me the art of something is creating a particular thing that’s unique to that person. In bass fishing that would be the cadence used in using a frog or jerk bait. The science of it is understanding how everything was put together and why. Again in bass fishing that would be the difference of the lines and rods used for a frog in a pad field compared to a jerk bait in open water. Then again maybe not Mike
  8. You obviously have a problem and concerns with each choice. Regardless of the one you pick you’ll have regrets and 2nd guess yourself for a week if you don’t finish. So, based on what you listed and why, I’d just fish by myself. You know you the best Mike
  9. Advantage… I live in Florida where I can fish all year in the Bass Capitol of the World. Disadvantage… Sometimes taking as my signature too literally “Improvise Overcome and Adapt” At times that adage has me doubting myself too many times that I’m not in the right spot at the right time doing the right thing. Ditto Sometimes I’ll just rig a bobber with the line through the stick for the kids without attaching and let it hang free. Most times with a small split shot about a foot up. It seems they’re more successful that way instead of attaching the line to it. Mike
  11. Well it’s certainly what he’s good at. A head coach needs to have his strength on one side the ball anyway. But you’re right he may not want to, but even if he does there’s no telling he or any of the others wouldn’t fail as a head coach. History if full of hot shot coordinators who fail when they get the title until they find out they already had it the best it’ll ever be. Mike
  12. You’re gonna lose your OC too, if he doesn’t decide to stay again. What will hurt him is the way he backed out of the Washington interview last year and his supposed salary demand. But somebody will pay him. Mike
  13. Yep That was my point Mike
  14. That’s what did it! It’s gotta be all about the QB now. Other than the first half yesterday the kid has been great for 3 games since changing OC’s He’s broke 2 Bear records (yeah I know it’s a low bar but it stood for over 80yrs by “Chucking” Charlie O Rourke! And one NFL record yesterday for most completions without a INT. We’ll be fine Mike
  15. 14-32 Overall record in 3 yrs 2-13 In division 5-19 In one score games (worst in NFL history) 3-19 Road record .304 winning percentage Fired 8 coaches in 2 yrs ‘Nuff Said Mike
  16. They did look good once they got to the 3rd OC in 1 1/2 yrs. Mike
  17. From someone who has lived and breathed Bears football for 65 yrs it should have happened last year. At his press conference this morning he doubled down on all his decisions not just yesterday. He was asked if he was in danger of losing his job and said no. He said he hasn’t met with the GM and President yet and he said he would be when he got done there. He did and he was Mike
  18. Excellent! Thats good advice also when punching through a 2ft thick mat of hydrilla or a floating mat of hyacinth especially with a 1oz weight or heavier Mike
  19. Happy Thanksgiving from me and my family to you and Yours! Mike
  20. I don’t use jigs in heavy grass as I always feel there is a better option. A boater I had once at a BFL used a swim jig but always with a flat eye when pulling through grass. Mike

Great, you’re getting there! How’s Mama doing? Mike
  22. There’s lot of reasons why 1 will get hit and another won’t assuming there were 2 fish within striking distance. The entry angle, initial start up speed, retrieval angle, retrieval speed, retrieval depth, each individual fish’s strike zone area…. All can’t help to be different. Did the first guy get a purely reaction hit? If so maybe the other fish didn’t care. Point is there are differences between the 2 anglers that will trigger a strike over the other that are more obvious to them than it is to us. Mike
  23. Junebug Red/Shad Watermelon/Red White Purple In that order Mike
