  1. @gimruis Because if Justin plays 51% of the snaps Pitt owes the Bears a 4th round pick and he’s already 6 games in. If not it’s a 6th The pick is more important to him Mike
  2. First you gotta be where they are. Fish the most likeliest of spots in the most likeliest of areas in your waters. Nobody can tell you where exactly, but one of the most overlooked and unappreciated parts of finding bass is taking the effort to eliminate water first. Then…., Look for isolated clumps of anything, lay downs with eddy’s, grass flats, pad fields, submerged grass, thick matted vegetation, different types of vegetation close to each other, diving birds, the popping sound of blue gills picking of bugs on top etc etc etc All are high percentage indicators of the greatest possibility of Ma Bass being home. And that applies to resident or moving herds. Mike
  3. Not for me I got my PB on a 7” red/shad Fat Max and always have it ready... My first choice is always a Magnum UV Speed Worm but when the bite is slower than it should be the Fat Max is next. There are no other options Mike
  4. Ditto But a 9.5, I’m a litter older Mike
  5. The abrasion resistance, knot strength and more subtle with greater cast distance than you would except from a higher diameter flouro line. I’ve heard all good things about Seaguar’s AbrasX also As far price, you get what you pay for from both. Mike
  6. Strike King Craw and Bug, marketed in their Okeechobee color Mike
  7. I use 20# sometimes 25# Shooter for most all flipping/pitching in fairly heavy to moderate cover. It has everything I’m looking for in a flipping line but don’t use it for punching Don’t know anything about a comparable Yo Zuri line. Mike
  8. Nope I’d rather be and stay right where I’m at fishing So Florida natural lakes. Mike
  9. There’s a lot to be said about covering water especially with a frog. I have the most success fishing fast and keep moving but always throwing in the most likely of spots. But the stop and go, varied retrieve cadence unique to any specific bait most times is the trigger. Mike
  10. The 200 E7 is my absolute favorite reel. I have one on 3 MH/F, 1 H/F and 1 H/XF rods that I use most often. There really isn’t a rod that wouldn’t be ideal for any presentation you would want it for. Mike
  11. Sunline Sniper and Shooter Mike
  12. It’s always the simple things we miss the most! Mike
  13. Two things that always stuck with me…. 1) Never leave fish to find fish 2) Whenever you think you’re fishing too slow, you’re not Personal Note If your boater puts on a Goalie mask and tightens his vest..Hold on tighter Mike
  14. Thats ok Won’t be the first time! 😊 Mike
  15. Seems like some of you guys use grease for everything. I go by the saying that if it touches use grease, everything else use oil. Mike
  16. 16# Sniper for spinnerbaits I don’t use buzz baits Mike
  17. Howdy Well we made it through ok all things considered. I lost fascia and soffit on the SW corner of the house which makes sense as that was it’s track SW to NE. Someone told me that track hasn’t happened in over 100 yrs! I have a 60-80ft tall 200+ yr old Heritage Oak on the side of the house that Ian trimmed up good that really bothered me thinking at one point it was goona come down, but she held. It came in at Siesta Key about 55miles from me which put us just outside of eye wall. Some may know that Siesta Key is always ranked as one of the best beaches in the US as its sand is like white powder. Everything was shaking. A 2 door glass sliding door leading outside was pulsating in and out on its track. I thought at any minute it would blow in but it also held. (That really scared me) All in all we were lucky compared to many others, it could have been much worse. Sanibel, Captiva, Cayo Costa Islands south of me took the brunt as it moved NE as the most of their land mass faced south. Venice Island, Manasota Key and Anna Maria Island to the North got hit hard also but the entire Bradenton, St Pete and Tampa area were worse according to the spotty info I’ve heard so far. I still don’t have power or the internet so I really haven’t heard any updates (I’m sure you know more) Thank You all for the comments and concern that many of you had. I appreciate it more than you could know!! Mike
  18. It’s starting to get bad here with constant lightning and tornado warnings starting. (There’s one over The Lake now) I’m shutting everything down.. You guys in it’s path please take care of yourselves. Catch you all on the flip side. Mike
  19. Wow!! I’m so happy for her!! Mike
  20. Keep the faith Brother Mike
  21. I thought that too If we left I may not get back either. If this hits like the others we may not back for literally a week. Hunker down Pal and Be Safe Mike
  22. In essence it was really Rodgers who fired him they never got along since he was signed. I heard this morning that if they would have won Sunday the Jets would have been in 1st place in thier division. Haven’t had time to figure it out but if true the owner wanted a change and you know Rodgers wasn’t going anywhere He got his own OC and WR Mike
  23. I feel for her, theres a lot of folks down here in the same situation This is our 4th one in 2 yrs and the 2nd either a Cat 4 or 5. Mike
  24. If you don’t have flood insurance which is totally different than a standard home policy you’re on your own. Many folks even those who live in a flood zone don’t have it because they either can’t get it or can’t afford it. In some cases it’s 3 times more expensive will insane deductibles than a standard home owner policy. Will Do Mike
  25. I’m staying home. The problem is I may not be able to get back. After a direct hit and being in the eye of both Charlie and Ian and being just outside of Debbie and Helene we’re as ready as I can be My daughter who lives on the Peace River just inside of Charlotte Harbor is my concern. She is still rebuilding from Ian over 2 yrs ago. All you guys down here do what you need to do now, don’t wait. Milt’s comin and he looks pi**ed off Be Safe Mike
