  1. Welcome June Bug, Watermelon and Green Pumpkin for me. With a little variance of each will cover it all. Mike
  2. Rage Cut R RI Skinny Dipper or Big EZ Mike
  3. That's great, if it won't effect anyone else, I'm back in. Site...Don't care, whatever is easier for you to set up. Scoring format... Standard, but really don't care Payment amount/value.... $25.00 seems fair Payment type...BPS or TW gift card / cash is always good too Mike
  4. £€#×@!!!!, I'm sorry fella's I won't be available for draft on the 30th, so I will have to reluctantly back out. Aug 29 and 30 are the dates for the final Gator Div BFL which is a 2 day format as you know. I'm in the top 30 going in so I have a chance to increase my point total with a good showing and hopefully qualify for the regionals. If it was anything else I would cancel and make sure I was able to attend the draft but I just can't. I'm sure you understand.. Mike
  5. Latley it's been a frog worked fast through any cover early, a white and blue spook worked along the edge's of any cover, also worked very fast and a purple with red 10" worm the rest of the day Mike
  6. I'm in! I've been in 2 leagues for years and some years 3. I prefer a PPR but any format would be fine. I would prefer a cash payout also, but the bait senario you suggested sounds like fun and may apeal to more players. Either way put me down. Mike
  7. Lunkerville Mike
  8. I have 3 that seems more like a Silver Back Gorilla! Between the new motor home, the '65 GTO restoration fund, and a bi-annual Craps tournament's Monkey, I may have to go back to work!! Mike
  9. If someone wants to be the commish, I'm in. CBS Sports has an on line one that can be setup for any type of draft and league. Mike
  10. I'm beginning to really like Capt Ken's Clone Frog also.. The action of that thing is unlike all the more popular ones. BUT, for walking in place, through a grass or pad field, over laydowns or under overhanging trees and bushes, the Scum Frog is the first on the water. Mike
  11. Good information... Thanks
  12. A little tip that may help you also... Put you index finger under the line while you're working it through the vegetation. Regardless of the type of line you use any vibration will be transmitted through to your finger. In time you'll know the difference between anything the end of the line touches. Mike
  13. June bug Brush Hog Mike
  14. Work is what you did before you retired TO Fish! Mike
  15. Flyfisher... In my opinion, That's the best possible offer you're gonna get all year!! Mike
  16. When I throw a Shakey Head it's mostly with a trick worm. There are others that will work just as well, and I've probably tried them all over the years, but it seems like the trick worm was made for it. Mike
  17. I keep reading on here about the Hawgtech handle. Don't own one, never have. I can see where it would be advantageous for heavy duty use, but do you use one on your lighter setups also? Mike
  18. Polishing, primping and driving my restored 1965 GTO. It's more of a year round obsession really. Also, taking trips in our new motor home. As a matter of fact, We're currently on our first extended trip now. We just left home yesterday heading to Charleston SC, then to Williamsburg VA, Washington DC, up to Gettysburg, over to Canton Oh to see the NFL hall of fame, and then to Bourbonnais Ill for the opening of the Chicago Bears training camp. Then we'll just meander our way home to SW Fla stopping at either Guntersville, Chickamauga or Seminole (none of which I've ever been too) depending on the route we take for a few days of real fun! Mike
  19. Ya know, I bought a package of the Shellcracker's probably over a year ago now, and haven't even opened it yet. I may try one tomorrow. Mike
  20. I'd say 90% of the time I use a RI Sweet Beaver. Have been known to toss a Rage Bug from time to time but only as a change up. For me a Sweet Beaver has the right size, shape, action and the longevity I need for punch bait. Mike
  21. I dont care what's on top...Be it grass, weeds, pad's, lay down's, reeds etc. Naturally growing in one spot or blown in. If on a boat and it's going slow enough I'm gonna punch it. If on the bank and I can reach it, I'm gonna punch it. If it's clear or stained, I'm gonna punch it. Be it in 10 ft or 18" of water, I'm gonna punch it. If theres water and oxygen, somebody may be living there. Mike
  22. I don't rinse them off when they get wet, just wipe off surface or not. Just let them air dry. I would think that If you rinsed them off at home, and have choline or other chemicals in your water, that can cause more damage long term than rain water, I'm sure you know (other folks may not) that if you do rinse them off, a light spray is all that is needed, don't rince at full blast. Mike
  23. All you can do is obviously throw any and everything you have that either is made weedless, or what you can make weedless skimming right across the top. Or as Shane suggested, hit the edges of that stuff with either a weightless or t rig or one with a pegged small weight, paying special attention to any openings or holes. By the way...Welcome Mike
