What Do You Thinks About 30Lb Suffix 832 Braid?
The brand doesn't matter. If the rod specs are 1oz and over you should be good. I wouldn't feel comfortable throwing into a matted grass area, but 30# would be fine in a pad field, just keep that in mind if a fish gets caught up in a bunch of stems. Mike

What And Where Should I Fish Today?
Well...Not knowing anything about your choices of "what and where" It's kinda hard to give a specific recommendation I'd feel confident in giving you. So, when I have cloudy and rainy conditions, a frog in the weeds, a spook or another top water in more open water will be my first choice. I love fishin in the rain. By the way, Welcome Mike

What Causes Rod Guides To Bend?
Transporting.... Do you grab 2 or 3 or 4 rods in your fist at the same time to carry around? As DVT said taking them in and out of the rod locker and hitting the top of the hole or trying to put 2 in the same hole? Smashing them down when tying a bunch together with a rod wrap? Mike

Punching?
Fella's To me the best, easiest and most effective way to un snagg, or break off braid or any other type of line for that matter, is to take up some line from the reel, or from what you already have out and wrap it around the side of the reel a few times and then pull. No need for a towel, your shirt, a dowl, your forearm or pliers. Mike

Line Vs Heat And Direct Sun
Heat alone is better than direct sun light. Not ideal but better. Rod covers are also good idea to keep them from scuffing up and to protect the guides from any inadvertent damage. Mike

Sunglasses
I picked up a pair of Berkley glasses at a Wall Mart while traveling for like $20, and I gotta tell ya those things are pretty darn good for $20! As good as the mainstream, brand name "fishing" glasses? No, but for everyday, glare eliminating, polarized glasses for the money you can't beat em. Mike
