  1. No, A Reverse Clinch Knot is another name for the San Diego Jam. [same knot] The difference between that and the Pitzen is the tag goes through the top loop only of the Pitzen. The tag of the SD Jam or Rev Clinch goes through the bottom loop first then the top. That's why the Pitzen is much smaller. Mike

Joe and Lou gave you excellent advise, I'd head it Also try changing colors, Shorten the legs on the Spro [helped me] If useing a popping frog, try popping it all the way back with no pauses Every few cast's squeeze any water out, keep it nose high Also, What I do is I open the hook's a little, especially if it is a Spro, a Scum frog is much softer so I usually leave them alone. Put a few bead's in the belly Work it with a slack line. Keep at it, it'll come Mike
  3. IMHO, I'ts the best darn soft plastic there is... It's heavy enough to fish with no weight You can modify it if you want. Use as a trailer... Sam said it exactly right Mike

  8. I use a 4/0 skip gap hook for flukes Mike
  9. I have the 7' 2" ASR866C jig rod. I really like it. Before i got that I used my 7ft Fenwick Techna AV mh/f for all bottom contact which I still use for plastic's. The ASR to me is perfect as a jig rod. Sensitive and beefy at the same time. It's heavier than the Fenwick but I don't mind. Mike
  10. Yeah Buddy! I use 50# braid for jig's of all sizes and 20# floro for creature baits. Mike
  11. An old recipe I heard about years ago is anise mixed with baby oil. It last's a long time, doesn't eat through anything and if you believe that atractants are just that, mix a little up and try it. 25% / 75% You'll be surprised Mike
  12. Me too...I just don't see the need for a XF rod. However I can see where a XF may work well for working a jerk bait, but the trebels would worry me. Other than a mod action rod for crankin all my equipement is fast. Of Couse living here in Fla and fishing the mostly shallow grassy lakes a MH/F rod is what i have the most confidence in. Mike
  13. There are so many different styles, by so many different manufactures, for so many different applications, that I buy the jig for that purpose. Add a trailer or not and throw it. But thats just me Mike
  14. Thats what I thought too. Thanks Glenn Mike
  15. Also for 100.00 you can find a Gen 2 Revo S.. Mike
  16. Ok Thanks. Just wondering Mike
  17. Anyone wear the "pro style" long sleeve shirts with the stand up collar and zippered front? If so where did you get it? I've allways worn the Columbia button down with the open ventilated flap but would like to try one of the "pro style". They look more comfortable. Thanks Mike
  18. Hook goes thru the big oblong end. Flat side down. You can put the hook thru where that little nib is or behind it. Mike
  19. Yep! I use Norman speed clips Mike
  20. "If I was a Bass, I'd live here!!" "See Ya honey, I'm gonna go Rip Some Lip's" "That one had a mouth as big as a toilet bowl!!" Mike
  21. Thanks Fellas: A local tackle shop down here has last years for 99.00. Looks like the extra 30.00 for this years may be worth it. Thanks Mike
  22. Thats gone too...There is a 6' 6" Extreme and a LTB MHF left. Mike
  23. I have last years "S" that I really really like. Do any of you guy's have one also? If you do, other than this years model being a little lighter, and the color [which I don't care about] what are the main differences in the 2? Thanks Mike
