  1. @garroyo130 Absolutely! I’d take an E over most anything made today by any manufacturer. Mike
  2. @gimruis That game was played Oct 16 2006 in Arizona. Devin Hester returned a punt for a TD late in the 4th quarter. With under a minute to go Arizona kicker missed a FG then Grossman took a knee and Bears won 24-23. Mike
  3. It’s comin Kent Maybe not this year, but the fun’s coming Mike
  4. Bears at 50-1 for a 3 win team last year which is better than a 1/3 of league! There’s hope in Chi Town Mike
  5. I haven’t changed my 2 braid reels in 3 yrs and probably won’t need to for another 3. All the rest (flouro) when it’s get’s low for whatever reason. Mike
  6. Depends on your waters and what you have the most confidence in. If walking a shore line, 1 MH/F of your choice. In a boat with someone else just putzin around 3 can be enough. A MH/F, a Heavy and your most all around versatile combo you have for the lightest baits you throw. In a tournament as a co angler, no more than 6 In a tournament in your boat, as many as you can carry. Mike
  7. Scorsese and Ford I guess. Mike
  8. Happy Anniversary!! We had ours when everything was shut down and really couldn’t do anything special, which was special in itself. Enjoy your time together!! Now go and spend some money on her! ?? Mike
  9. Ok My limited education is on display. What is a “crepuscular period” ?? Mike
  10. I hardly ever throw B/B. I really don’t see any appreciable advantage in the So Fla waters I fish. Purple or a red/black combination of some sort is my back up to June bug. Plus June Bug is a more consistent color throughout all brands. Mike
  11. OP You get the idea Most everyone are saying the same thing.. Fish where they live Spend the time Use baits that are proven in your local waters Etc Etc Point is there is no “Exact” way to Exactly catch a trophy. Where’s the fun and challenge in that?? Mike
  12. Atta boy, keep goin! Happy Birthday Enjoy Your Day Mike
  13. There are few things I would try probably in this order. Frog right in the middle of it stopping at the holes and thinner areas and walk it in place a while. Weightless 4” Speed Worm from the edge out, then kill it once reaching the open parts. Weightless stick worm of your choice under and around the dock, under the trees along the shore. If nothing after that, then I’d do what @Team9nine suggested Mike
  14. Centrifugal brakes limits the speed of the spool as it starts at the initial movement. Magnetic brakes kicks in approximately mid cast to slow the spool to the last turn. Mike
  15. Same can be said for most top water baits…. Colors, bubbles, wakes, spitting, whatever it is, is the attraction. Mood, hunger, curiosity, aggression or instincts take over after that. Mike
  16. Andy Lynn remains in our prayers. She’s one strong lady!! Mike
  17. I do it the same way as Tom, and use the SDJ for everything except 2 braid techniques The extra step over the Pitzen is what makes the double SDJ redundant Mike
  18. 1/4 oz on a 5/0 Owner with cps as a stand alone, most of the time with a removable skirt. Considering the majority of the waters I fish are relatively shallow with 3-5 ft the norm, the 1/4 allows me to keep it in the strike zone of submerged grass which is my preferred strike zone without it getting hung up. Mike
  19. @casts_by_fly is exactly right! A lot of time I’ll walk with a side arm from straight out to not quite a 45deg angle without reeling. That gives the frog time to get it without me overreacting to a strike too soon, plus the slack is already built it. Just be ready with your thumb on the reel Also, heed the advice about trimming one side of the tail. When twitching to the longer side, the frog will move to the other side on its own most times without much effort if it’s even needed. Some frogs are better at it than others. Mike
  20. Early December to late April for me Mike
  21. I called my brother and asked if he remembered where Dad said he was stationed. He remembered him saying something about Adak and Kiska but nothing else. This was in ‘42 I know he was there to build runways before being moved to the Mariana Islands where they built more for the first arrival of B 29’s. I remember him saying the islands weren’t secured when they arrived. Thanks for jogging our memories! ? Mike
  22. At the start of WW2 my Dad joined the Army’s counterpart. At that time I believe they were called Combat Engineers, at least that’s what they called themselves. He never talked about it much other than to say he did see “a little combat” in the Aleutians and So. Pacific Mike
  23. Super Bowl! Baseball doesn’t even come to mind anymore. The Cubs won in my lifetime, that’s good enough for me Mike
  24. I don’t know about you guys, but to me everyone has their preferences from their successes. Is color important?..Yes Could it make a difference in getting bit or not?…Sure How many times have you kept the same lure and just changed the color and get bit where before you wouldn’t??…Many times But not always to the degree where it is the one, singular, overall difference maker when looking to make a change. For me, the correct presentation of the correct lure choice all things considered is more important Mike
  25. Woahhh… The man said No, it’s his opinion it’s not arguable. And in mine he’s exactly right..It’s not Mike
