Want to buy one super high end rod - which one should it be?
I have not personally used any on your list. The closest I came was a GLX. However my favorite rod to use is the Kistler Z-Bone. You could use either the MH or Hvy. I love that rod and it is made with real NFC blanks and great components. This ^^^^

What other rod brands does BPS sell?
I don't have a clue. All I know is they had their Carbonlites on sale for 30% the weekend before Thanksgiving then their Black Friday sale had a rod and the PQ2 combo or $100. The CL flew off the shelves.

What other rod brands does BPS sell?
The Carbonlite will be back. They had a good sale on them during Thanksgiving and sold out virtually everywhere. If you want a carbonlite just wait a little and it'll be back in stock.

Thoughts on Kistler Helium 3, 7' Heavy X-Fast
I have that same rod. It has become my dedicated Flipping rod. I love the sensitivity it offers and its the lightest rod I own. I will be adding more HE3 to my lineup for next year.

Which reel/ rod
Ebay is you friend. Daiwa Tatula Ct for $90, Fuego CT for $65, Abu Garcia Revo SX for $80. Then pick up an IRod Fiber rod MHF and you will be all gravy. And you saved some money for line or lures.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!!
Les Miles Agent called UT. He wants the job badly. Since Mullen went to Gainsville SEC recruiting has went crazy. Fields looks like he is flipping to the Gators, flipped two UCLA O-Lineman and the #2 WR from Miss St. That might be a surprising team next year. Jimbo to A&M is almost a done deal with FSU already interviewing Taggert Canada will stay put I also see Greg Shiano going to UCF to replace Frost.

spinner bait vibration/feel
I have found 3 spinnerbaits that gives off a ton of vibrations. The issue is they are really expensive for a spinnerbait in my eyes. They are the River2Sea Bling, Picasso Invizwire (pro or ss) and Duo Realis Cambio. I have the most success on the R2S Bling.

Would crawdad bait be appropriate?
I think I found my location to open a tackle shop. As for your question the Craw pattern and imitations work virtually everywhere. you should have good success throwing craw baits.

Does there come a point in time where it's just over with?
I live in NW Ohio and I must say the bite was never "On" in my region all year. All the tournament guys including myself all noticed a drop in bag size and limits caught this year. I'm not sure if it had to do with warm winter and cool summer we had or what. We never really got the fall bite I enjoy so much. I winterized the boat and stripped all my reels. I am done until spring myself. 2017 was a very quirky season for my region.

Line lubricant
I swear by Reel Snot. Works just like KVD but quicker. Whatever you do STAY AWAY from Ardent Line Butter.

Shimano Expride
I haven't used the Expride but I did the Zodias. Obviously the Expride is a step up but I absolutely love my Kistler Helium 3 at that price point. I believe it is the lightest rod on the market and it comes with a Gary Loomis designed North Fork Blank. Also if you purchase from Kistler's site you can build your own rod.

Did Abu Garcia discontinue the Revo Rocket?
I have always been a fan of the Revos, even during the bad quality control of the Gen 3. But I always went the STX route just for the dual brakes. Now that the SX has them my wallet is happy. I think the Gen 4 so far is the best Revo Abu Garcia put out. That is saying a lot from me because I didn't think they could top the Gen 2.
-
Did Abu Garcia discontinue the Revo Rocket?
STX you get a corrosion resistant frame, Ti-Coated line guide, quick release side plate better Centrifugal brakes. However the SX you still get top of the material and dual brakes. comparing $165 (sx) and $200 (stx) the STX wins but being able to get the SX for $80 it is a no brainer to get the SX because the STX features are no great enough to warrant an extra $120. The outlier is if you plan on fishing saltwater than go STX.
-
Did Abu Garcia discontinue the Revo Rocket?
The Revo Rocket and STX are the same reel. They put a 9:1 gear ratio on a STX and rebadged it. That is why there was no price difference. I think the Revo Rocket shined more as a spinning reel than casting. I would look at the STX or SX in 8:1. The new Gen 4 are hard to beat reels. edit: You can get a brand new Revo SX 8:1 for $80 on Ebay

Gen 4 Revos, anyone put one to work yet?
I've switched my entire arsenal to the Gen 4 Revos I have the S, SX, STX and a Premiere. I love them all but in my opinion the SX is a superior reel at its price. Not to mention you can get a Revo SX on the bay for $80. They are a bit heavier than the gen 3s but also feel more solid. I am getting the same casting distance I get with all my reels but these seems to do it with littler effort. My parts only have bass in the 3lb range but the drag is smooth and never failed on these fish. I agree they are under rated reels. I think time will help these reels. A lot of people were turned off by the gen 3 that it will take time to regain the reputation they had.

I second this. That is my vacation spot

Crawdad Baits/Jigs - Locations to Target?
Here in Ohio I used to get routinely out fished by t-rigged craws when I was pitching jigs. So I took what I saw and now I throw plain t-rigged craws 95% of the time.

Best Squarebill Crankbait
Guess I'm the odd man out but I use the River2Sea Biggie both the Smalls and Poppa. But if I want to use a silent squarebill I throw the Luck-E-Strike Rick Clunn Silent Squarebill.

Locals
I fish a lot of far away tournaments and can't prefish due to work. I ask locals from water clarity, temp and average depth the fish are being caught. By not asking how big and on what I get a much more true answer. 90% when given bait information I end up using it a little bit and switching to something else anyways. But with the general info I can formulate a plan in my head and have been pretty successful with it.
