Jiginfule what knot you using have you tried different ones? Im fishing like water & presentation you are no structure rocks just weeds and senko the like. All Ive ever noticed was right at the hook like 3-4" of line will fray after a few fish I dont use leader. Ive mention a few times in posts that with the nano knot I lost 2 fish that I feel the knot slipped but dont think the line actually broke. I have not had slipped knot issue since changing type of knot tied. Its not the easiest to tie but gets easier the more you tie it, give this a try just trying to help you Double the line a foot or so--run it through the eye twice-- and tie a Uni Knot 7 turn- cinch down leave 1/4" tag. I dont treat this line like braid with hard hookset powering in fish its a very thin line true to its pound rating this means playing the fish a bit more plus the rod I use it with is ML power Moderate action so it absorbs quite a bit of force. My personal feeling is most think of this line as a superline braid and fish it the same way which just wont work.

Berkly Nanofil
Ive used it since it came out here some pro/cons Ive experienced Pros Line Management Sensitivity Casting Distance No Stretch Cons Finicky with knots need to experiment the suggested Nano knot isnt the best: Abbrasion resistance Price. though it seems to be lasting, so its not use for 3-4 months toss out type line Retie line more after 4-5 fish it starts fraying at hook area The retie thing some do this with any line as often but its needed, at least, with the 6# I use. For me the cons trump all the cons reasons are I use a better knot that gets me a little over 9# breaking strength with the 6# line. I dont fish where abbrasion is an issue. Price it lasts multi seasons. Works great on spinning reel no spray needed no coiling issues. The distance gets me to parts of the lake other lines wont I have caught fish I wouldnt have otherwise I use it with wacky senko, small cranks, nightcrawlers.

Survey. Best Rod In The 150-179 Range.
My Quantum Smoke rod at the low price of your range holds its own against my Croix rods. My 7M/F is 3.4oz , well balanced with light reels (5.9oz), handles 3/4oz lures. Its microguides though arent for everyone.

Sc Avid Mh Too Heavy For My Uses?
I like lighter powered rods but with 1/2oz-3/4oz jigs I use MH SC Premier or Shim Clarus. You need to factor in the nice RageTail Craw that will be on there as a trailer the weight of that and 1/2oz jig will shoot to 3/4oz or so.

Looking For A New Rod - $100 Range
Get a quality 2pc rod and all these issues are negated. My favorite rod I own is 2pc 5years old never has it come apart extremely confident in the connection and the sensitivity on it is great. Way better than any veritas but then its not in the same price range still there are great 2pc rods out there. Like mentioned look into a USA made Croix for quality 2pc rod.

**sigh** Senko
Well there are a number of ways to rig them where you get numerous fish per worm. Wacky style with Heat shrink tubing, one or two o-rings, fuel tubing. You can repair them with heat or special adhesive(Mend-It). Ive caught 15+ bass with one senko and Ive lost $10 spinnerbait on first cast never a fish tapped it thats part of fishing.
