  1. In case you dont know Megastrike is sold at Dicks Sporting Goods, I just bought some, will be trying this stuff out havent use scent in the past.
  2. A weightless nightcrawler + braid is awesome, the braid will help with letting the crawler fall ever so slowly then IF it reaches bottom seeing just a little twitch of the line. Havent use fluoro cant say how that does but read it sinks so this would make worm fall faster and I dont think I would care for that in this scenario. Or like Fat Ika the thing with this is it can fall away so slack is needed for it to do so.
  3. Lunkerville ----link on the right side of page.
  4. Yep their good at price matching, a few times went in with ads or printout from BPS/DSG and they match it. Just matched the 20% off PowerPro S8S BPS in their sale ad.
  5. It comes down to his equipment without his Quantum rods & reels and Oakleys he is just your avg Joe fisherman at the local pond
  6. Here for illinois http://www.ifishilli...labama_rig.html Modify to just 2 hooks for most others
  7. You guys had me interested so I looked around and basically this seems useful--- Most fish have a hearing range of 1 Hz to 1 kHz, humans from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. Most freshwater sonar operates from 50 kHz to 400 kHz. Humans might hear the transmit pulse that sounds like a click from the transducer.----- What that clicking freq is IDK.
  8. RAGE ON BRRRRother!!!
  9. On your list the Citica is on sale for $80 at Gander Not on your list the BPS JM Carbonlite $109 to $89 w/trade -- my actual weight of 5.82oz
  10. Add me to the list. Havent been out over 3 months have 3 new set-up to try out.
  11. What is your rod's lure rating? My ML Avid St Croix works great with wacky rigged senkos and I fling 3/8 SK Rocket Shads and 3/8 Secret Wepon SB, mine rated to 5/16 but the 3/8 works fine. Wouldnt go heavier.
  12. Thanks I dont have cable just rabbit-ears so something fishing related to watch is appreciated like Lunkerville has their show online other shows should follow suit.
  13. Well with 15' visibility in the main lake I fish I sight/target from shore quite often, better than any imaging device tool, still dont catch all the fish I see. So I would look at the SI DI as just extentions of my eyes and a tool to help equal the odds if I were to get one.
  14. I have this one its ok I guess the kids love the thing. The light that comes on/off isnt all that useful I usually let it cook longer than it times out. It calls for putting oil in the mix but I just spray PAM on it otherwise they stick. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&q=bella+rotating+waffle+maker+reviews&um=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1015&bih=540&wrapid=tlif133074162233110&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=13974522880791857005&sa=X&ei=lIFRT-35JYbd0QHdpqC7DQ&ved=0CHIQ8wIwAg#
  15. Im in Rockford local lake iceing-out looks like Wednesday will be 60 maybe wanting to get out try all my new equipment.
  16. So you guys that have one what you going to use it for mostly? Like have it set-up for jigs only spinnerbaits only tech specific or going to be multi-purpose? What rod & line you have in mind?
  17. I dont know, but to me those other reel you guys posted all look to have better bracing bridge no bridge. Like mentioned for its intended use should hold. I dont think Ill do like the EXO and run a truck over it.
  18. Here some pics of the JMC. Too I weighed it and it is 5.82oz just a bit under it rating so thats good. Another thing, I looked it over and over and there are not any blemmishes at all cosmetically great BPS Doesnt seem to be any protrusions that interfere fits in palm nicely. The knobs one has no play the other has like 1/64" just a tic bit of movement in/out. The base sure looks to be lacking in the amout of bracing but guess thats how to reduce some weight. Was wanting some Tatsu line for it but found out this BPS doesnt sell the stuff so got powerpro super8slick.
  19. Go for it Most people buy hats/caps with some type logo same with shoes and other things, you like to have a shirt get ya one. I picked-up some St Croix long and short sleeve shirts $9 at Gander
  20. You dont have to trade-in your reel first. I went I have the old gold and the new SXT (30 size) they are sweet reels you will like it. A number of times Ive left BPS empty. I did manage to get the JM Carbonlite 7:1 reel thought his time. On the trade-in I was concerned about the same if they didnt have the reel what then. So I went in first checked to see if they had JMC yes, had them hold it for me THEN went to my car and got my trade. Too they have cheap $5 reels on hand to purchase/trade in.
  21. I have a ML-Mod rod thus reason for asking about yours. And just bought 1/4 tube jigheads and tubes. Its nice to see the rod bend on mod actions adds to the play/fight.
  22. Im very thick skinned to a fault just dont care to see a review that was well put together put down (as I felt) by a biased person (you). Now you say it was in jest so Ill take it as that, just your comment from your brain to the words posted, the meaning got lost in translation, no biggie all's well.
  23. Fishing in slop with braid/frog some of the crud can sometimes clog the tip guide Like in this stuff
  24. St Croix sale still going on $161 each-- LTBC70MM for your crankbaits, LTBS69MLXF for unweighted plastics http://www.stcroixrods.com/shop/catalog/Freshwater-23-1.html# Not the latest NSI versions though just so you know.
  25. On the main small lake I fish I rarely catch SM(dont target them) only like 3 last year but I caught 2 in one day using a ragetail baby craw on a 2/0 hook with splitshot. That sort-of tells me they like that bait.
