  2. Sunline FC Sniper 10 & 12# no conditioner on 50 size shimano reels.
  3. I dont find it to be false, I agree its less sensitive and it harder to maintain than braid. There might be a specific scenario but overall sensitivity goes to braid. Moving baits dragging baits fighting fish feeling it while doing so all goes to braid. Maintaining the line also goes to braid no L&L no worries with kinks in line longevity not replacing line as often overall less maintaining of the line. So not a totally false statement at all. Oh you also took his statement out of context. He was mentioning use of square bill where he notices the less sensitivity. So yes I say he is 100% correct that braid with cranks is more sensitive gives more feedback of what the lure is doing..
  4. There is the MGX Extreme at 4.9oz http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/112412-revo-mgx-extreme-49oz-499/
  5. In a sitted kayak position you are getting less leverage on a cast. Upper body going to have to do more work to get same distance as when standing. You are more limited in the type of casts you do and rod placement during cast. All this puts strains on a body and each person responds differently to those strains.
  6. I got 8 packs BAMA BUG senkos for $5.83 a pack at DSG about a week ago if they had more I would have bought more..
  7. How do you have your wacky rigged inline or 90 degrees? I have excellent hook-ups and only use size 2 or 1 hooks but have mine rigged 90 degrees (see pic) so hook point sticks out. Oh I use braid as well so that helps too.

  11. Can use product called MEND-IT but I use heat to melt them together. I have small butane soldering tool with plastic attachment once I get a bags worth of torn lures Ill touch-up the tears. It doesnt melt much of the lure with quick touch just gets it gooey enough then squeeze together and done fixed very good bond. Doing this has paid for the tool many times over but any iron would do. The bottom pic is a Damiki Hydra body with a Palm Tree skirt put together once the counter sections got too torn up to be of any use.
  12. With Senkos, Ikas, Palm Trees, Damiki Hydras, Keitech salty core tubes I save them and fix the tears in them to use again and again. Ill save sections and mix/match parts of one to another as they remain useful.
  13. Shimano Core50mg7 on a Quantum smoke 7' MF rod 20# pps8s for a 8.9oz combo. Throw kinami palm tree watermelon chartreuse 5/0 trokar ewg hook.
  14. Well the best education I feel would be first hand experience. Try it for yourself and form your own conclusion. I use 10-15-20# braid on my baitcasters and in over 10 years of use dont see the need to go bigger. Now all you read and have "people" say is use 40-50-60# or else it wont work well my experience trumps their say. 50 pros can come on here and say 20# braid isnt any good for bc and Ill go out the next day and continue to use it without issue just like I did today. Another is my use of an 8' ML Moderate rod for senko. Its my favorite rod for that purpose yet not one person would have recommended this rod.

  16. Ill say that the Tatula and *** dont make a comfortable combo to me. The reel being a bit bulky and the rod having a small diameter handle just dont pair well together. It seem to want to tilt to the reel handle side more than normal in hand.
  17. Well cant fault you for that done it myselt on other things. Here in case you dont know Gander Mountain has $50 rebate http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=St-Croix-Legend-Tournament-Bass-Casting-Rod-TBC610MLXF&i=451547
  18. I have LTB MLXF, Avid ML/Mod, *** MF I truely feel you wont be blown away by the LTB rod or your expectations might not be met. I just dont think there is a very big/noticeable gain from Avid to LTB. I had Avid first as well got a very good deal on the LTB from croix website $115 and very glad I didnt pay full price. If possible buy the LTB rod from a store with easy liberal return policy if happy great but any doubts youll be able to take care of it easier.
  19. Might be the extra fast action causing the issue. I always feel the difference in the rod loading and casting my x-fast rods compared to fast action.
  20. Hear is review with the improved clinch knot mentioned basically tie a good wet knot http://www.realfishin.com/article/berkley-nanofil-review
  21. I double the line over about a foot, pass through the eye twice, 6-7 turn uni knot. Basically the same uni knot I use for fc and braid just double the line is the only other step. I leave about 1/4' tag. I have not lost a fish with this knot. Now I will say stay away from rock it is just slightly more abrasion resistant than braid but that not good even so.
  22. Find a knot that works well and I think its very good line. Ive used 6# for a couple years now and its still good shape. The knot I tie I get 9# strength. I dont use leader and fish very clear water 15' vis. The sensitivity is outstanding better than tightline braid. Its not a supeline that is underrated on strength and thats where I think people find fault. They think no stretch and so it must work like braid well it doesnt. Im working with a true 6# line that doesnt stretch so I back off drag dont horse in the fish play it more. I at times use a moderate action rod for some forgiveness. I caught many fish this past week with the white in clear water senko fishing. I too will be getting the green nano Im down to a little more than a very good cast worth of line. Ill add that my hook-up % at distance is much better with nano than my 10 or 12# FC super sniper even when the fc line is used with stouter rod. couple 3# caught 1st pic caught this week another catch out a good 100' when hooked
  23. And its not just braid, mono & fluoro do the same thing. Backlash with fluoro and kink it its weakened at that point. Mono was the worst for me and one reason for my switch to braid. And braid doesnt have zero shock resistance Ive backlashed 3/4oz spoons and lipless cranks with 15# 20# braid and not snapped them off. Torque that uni is a great knot use it myself only not as many wraps.
