I definitely notice better line management with micro guides. No wind knots with the guides ever. Much less flap on the out going line vs "regular" guides rods from the reel to first guide.

Ive used Owner Wide gap plus and Rig N hook not too fond of them. The first week use I missed quite a number of good strikes so lost confidence now they just put away. I have VMC Fastgrip wide gap and have been very pleased with the hook-ups and will continue with them. Have seen them on sale so bought a few packages. If going for a premium hook its Trokar outstanding hook-up %.

Dont overfill the spool with braid leave 1/16-1/8 of the lip. If filled too far the outgoing line will catch the line beneath it and you get a knot.

I had a spool in my basket at BPS but couldnt go for it. The Kanzen braid was very weak plus the lack of customer support couldnt give my money to them agian.

I finally got lucky at something. I went this morning to Gander to buy a BB1 Pro well they didnt have them so had them order me one and paid there send it to my house. I got the scratch card started scratching it saw a 5 then a 0 BAM 50% off!! Both arms go raising in the air Im so happy totally out of character for me I ask if I can I go get more stuff he said sure. They didnt have the best selection (no type r or curado i on top of no BB1 pro) but I saw a Shimano CI4 got that in addition to the Tatula I was getting. Had two reels for trade-in so got $75 total off price as well. Plus they just got in *** *** rods so got 7'1" M/F all 50% off. Too the Tat came with a $25 gift card and the *** a $20 gift card and the BB1 Pro Im getting a $30 card. About the only negative was all the reels I got were the high speed versions I asked if the Tat or CI4 in lower ratio but they didnt. Any of you go to Gander what scratch % you get or have any good scores to share? Here's my 50% off score

If all my rods were taken but one Ill keep my Smoke rod 3.4oz 7' M/F 1/4-3/4 lure rating. I have more expensive rods but the Smoke I like the best.

I tried 10# sniper cause Gander was selling it for $15 liked it so thats when bought the !2#, again for $15. One question. I feel sniper stretches quite a bit is there not a difference stretch wise between these?

Have you used both without KVD L&L? Cant speak for P-line but my sniper in 10 & 12# I havent used conditioner on the line. Even after a month of use the line was still straightening out after a cast. I didnt get to test it any longer cause season ended. Im going to refill spool same line and see how long I get away with no L&L on it. If it winds up not needing it that a savings and less hassle of spraying the line.

Another thing to think about is all that cheering yelling applause some bright colored shirts didnt scare the fish away. He was still catching in close vicinity of those people. I bring this up cause I read many times of people thinking there would be no way of catching a fish with those distractions.
