  1. Voted, found the poll. Honestly I could have gone for a bunch of places but glad guys are talking about it. Great work guys.
  2. Quan I have heard good things fishing with the water level drawn down. I thought this was going to be a problem.... I was looking forward to fishing some of the flats next to deeper water.... thought it would draw in some shallow feeders. Yet I have heard of some guys having success in the last two weeks. I will def be hitting it up with the inflatable, just hope I do not get stuck in the mud trying to get out there.
  3. Def interested fellas, and would happily try to make the next one if I could not make this one.
  4. Well this debate pops up a lot but I throw mainly the gary and the BPS and I like em both A LOT The key for me when it comes to gary products is sales...... 2 or 3 times a year dicks does a buy one get one free or a 2 for packs for a real good price..... I literally start grabbing all the sizes and colors I like, whether I need them or not. I will ask the sports section guy if he can bring out what they have in the back or can I go back there and look..... because I know this is my shot. I think gary products are not like zoom (I love both companies) where if I am in a store, it is a foregone conclusion some zoom product will grab my eye and I say what the heck and buy a bag to try out. With gary products, I make a note of the style and color and wait for a sale. I ussualy am not "trying: on senkos, I am buying the ones I have confidence in. Dicks is my main source for gary products, but several places will do sales and I hit when the iron is hot. I also think taking my BPS stick-o's and stretching them way out before I rig them helps soften them up some.
  5. I am looking forward to the release and have been a big premier and swim and flip guy.... so curious to see where this fits in for me (have hair and swim ones too) My question is why the sept. 1 date? I am happy to have it come out sooner, but was this aiming for fall fishing? Why not go with the winter of next year when all the new stuff comes out? That is not a complaint or criticism, just a curiosity.....
  6. Tip of the cap there spoone and good luck with the bass, this heat is brutal....... 42 day in NOVA with heat above 90..... yuck
  7. parrotthead 1)- Good to see you on here again 2)- I will def keep my eyes out around mercer too for this guy. People who walk around mercer always ask me why I have so much stuff compared to most guys...... and I explain the white bag is hard baits, the blue binder is soft plastics, the yellow bag is flashlights, bug spray, ect and the plastic bag is the trash I pick up from everyone else. Sometimes I wish park rangers and select fishermen were issued a paint ball gun and when we see people disrespecting our resources they could just give em a paintball in the shin.....
  8. Good call jdw174...... I do love picking up that one too
  9. BAM and Bassmaster are the best IMO and both are worth the money. BAM is LOADED with info.... it is some serious reading. I find both very informative and they both do it in different ways. Not sure why bassmaster gets knocked so hard on here. There feature with a pro on the lake going minute by minute through his day fishing is simply great and gives a unique insight that actually makes me think about how I am making choices on the water. The recent changes they made too only made it better. A shout out to woods and waters.... a VA fishing and hunting monthly magazine..... it is really good for us VA guys.
  10. congrats.... we expect pics of all the fish your landing getting on the water 4x's a week.
  11. fish looks great and that water lokks awesome for fishing
  12. Small fry do not let them get to you, catch and release is nothing to be mocked. Keep it up.
  13. I also use the floaters, but with limited sucess. I am really curious to what the rig looks like under water.... like does nose stay up but does the rest of the worm try to sink? All i know is i need to make a comittment to throwing the c rig, especially now in the heat
  14. great thread guys..... and thanks again for your service.... hopefully you can hit the water right after you get back
  15. Nice Zoff..... 3.5 is a really good fish!

  18. I have a flat sided bluegill in the 3-4 range..... have no used it much and confidence was lacking on it, but you guys are making me thinki about giving it a day on the water and see what it can do.
  19. I have sine beaten up hardbaits. I am getting them all together and going to send them to a painter to give em new life. I will either use a company I found in bassmaster or go with a guy on here who might want to give em a shot. They have caught plenty of fish, so gotta keep em heading out there to bring back mr greenback
  20. I would say smaller lures, slower retieves, and different presentations...... Maybe wacky..... Maybe go with a jig with a spinner...... Maybe drop shot..... Go with things most guys are not throwing
  21. Nice fish, welcome aboard, there is a section on here about getting sponsored and going pro, and most importantly....thanks for your service in the army
