If You've Never Seen Megastrike Products -Watch Tank Video
This video seems to prove two things 1)- The quality of megastrike (will be buying more) 2)- The idea of "pressure" being over blown...... these fish seeing the same lures time after time in such a limited space.... over and over again, yet they keep getting completely fooled. While I believe pressure exists and conditioning occurs (and these are hungry fish in the tank) I am not sure that fish with hundreds of acres of water and a tiny brain with a very limited ability to remember anything know that your throwing the same crank as the guy last week.

Personal Record - Help With Size
I would say just shy of 5lbs, but no matter what a great fish. Very impressive considering the gear. The depth of the catch is not a factor I think, plenty of big ones in that shallow. Fl people can correct me, but some big ones might be cruising shallow in pre-spawn patterns as we speak correct?

Va. Meet And Greet 2013 !!!!
Yeah in summer i try to stick to the "channel" out of the weeds..... I have not been there at other times, so will have to check it out then. Even at high tide, the trolling motor (i am in the rear on the transom) tends to just get stuck.....dragging a forest of weeds behind me. I do think in summer despite the shallow water it produces because 1)- Apple cover 2)- so much weeds keep the water crystal clear and super oxygenated so the fish do not need to retreat deep for oxygen. I have never been able to pull a snakehead, which is disappointing Never even seen one but I know many people who have gotten them in there.

A Day On The Res With Nitro!!
I suddenly am thinking I need to upgrade my electronics. Grayscale downscan seems to be a little behind the curve there. I have found the map with the downscan has been the most useful, for finding where the deeper cuts are, though still tough to scan deeper structure or drive over bait balls. All my luck has come on white spinner baits working the bends in deeper water and tossing jigs into down trees. I think being able to find the shad more effectively would really be a huge help

Ever Watch Lunkerville?
Lunkerville is awesome and am totally looking forward to the return in Jan. I will admit my total bias because the show often travels north from NYC through and to the areas I grew up fishing..... which is a wonderful place to bass fish. I have a question.... I do not watch online as I felt watching the show (and DVR-ing it) on NBC sports would help keep it on the air. If i watch online, well that would seem to not do much to help keep it going. Am I wrong here? Keep up the great work.

Green Top Taking Over Gander Mountain In Va
I always thought greentop carriers a lot of lures a lot of other places do not carry. I am not a gun guy, so I would be ignorant about their selection there but fishing wise they seem to carry some brands and such that is even tough to find online.

Nova Res Chunck!

Green Top Taking Over Gander Mountain In Va

Too Cold, Please Say No!
I have not been a jerkbait guy and have been trying to get that end of my game going. Bought a few pointers, husky jerks, and rouges.... I don't seem to get them very deep (even though a few are DD). I might need to go out a few days with only jerkbaits and see what I can do. I have done a lot of reading, while just keep reviewing the stuff on here and try to get some water time. That a pointer in the first pic? I remember you saying you were using the new rick clunn's last year.... way cheaper than the megavision and lucky craft.... how you think they match up?

Admit It.....
power tackle lateral perch...... only thing i get is line twists

Sad....
I say keep fishing..... a day in the 50's without a ton of wind sounds like a very do able fishing trip and we are sure to have a few random ones of those pop up here in December at least.

Look A Second Look At Your Favorite Lake And Maybe Yourself, You Might Find Something New.
Great stuff.... I know Shimmy's NOVA pain all to well. I think pressure being a mindset is right on.... Every biologist says a fish does not have a memory more than a few minutes, at most. Yet as an animal they become conditioned.... So the same lure can be throw over and over again and be more successful than the previous guy I think if the presentation is different. Fish seemingly should not be able to remember that color crank coming through the area, but if the presentation you make is the same as the stuff they see everyday, well then your only chance is a hunger bite and not a reaction bite..... why would a fish react to the same thing they see constantly. If you can figure out what will trigger that reaction bite, when then you will overcome fishing pressure. I have no clue how to overcome jerks pleasure boating, or my enemy, the idiot on a jet skis, Outside of torpedoes I also am in the same boat as shimmy..... a mediocre downscan is my electronic tool of choice. While it is a tool and I like it, it has not opened my eyes to structure and changes I thought it would. It is a learning process that never ends, at least until I get a newer better unit, then it starts all over. I think Nitro is dead right.... taking a new look at the bodies we are on should really help breather some new life into the bodies we are hitting. Shimmy let's compare NOVA notes sometime.

Local Bait Shops
I love me some green top too and am pumped to see the new store. I grew up in a small town in NY with a local shop that also did hunting and feed for animals. The guy who ran the place, "Red" was the best. He let me just hang out and I had to pick up at look at every lure about 20 times. He eventually got videos so I started renting them and it got to the point he just stopped bothering having me fill out the slips and told me to just borrow em and return them when i was in next. He was the type of guy that when I bought things he would just round up or down or just make up a price he thought was fair for a teenager who loved fishing. Was a great guy, we could use a lot more guys like him in this world.

Rude Fishermen Rant
I hear that. A lot of guys seem to think if they spend $75,000 on a boat they paid for the right to bully the guys in smaller craft around. I think seeing dodgeball is being taken out of schools, it should be allowed on the lakes. If a guy is close enough to hit with a ball, you should be allowed to peg them with one hahahahaha.

Burke Lake
Tried to get out this weekend to see how low it has gotten. Seems to be keep dropping, think that is true?

Burke Lake Dam Construction
Wow I thought the water would be lower than that. Tried to get out today but this stupid thing I have called work keeps dragging me in. I might try to fish tomorrow, but the rain might make it real tough.
