"Horror" stories regarding fishing partners
Try having him eat a bowl of cottage cheese with some fruit in it beforehand. Casein protein is slow-digesting and should keep him full for a good while since protein is great for giving people that "full" feeling. Plus it will help him grow big and strong.

Carolina Rig Question(s)
A mono leader isn't always bad. Sometimes you do need a shock leader.

Daiwa ProCaster, mini review
It was my first baitcaster. I still use it for pitching to this day. It's no Fuego or Revo, but it's still pretty damned good - especially for $35. I don't think there's ANY sub-50 dollar baitcaster that can outdo this baby. Also, in terms of palming a reel, this thing is my favorite! It's got a little thumb rest built in on top of the spool, and I just absolutely love that when I'm pitching.

Creative ways can you guys think of for promoting my sponsor
imho, if you weren't sure that you could handle the promotions and sales pitches, you should not have taken the job in the first place. Your sponsors give you stuff in exchange for good work. You don't look for sponsors just to get free stuff - that's just cheating them out of their money. You look for sponsors because you are certain that the relationship would be mutually beneficial.

Census-How many of you use Megastrike Fishing Products-WHY /WHY NOT
I don't use the stuff in the tube because I haven't gotten to the point where I feel like I need it yet. I will probably look more into it once I start losing bass because they are nibbling on my baits and not hitting them. Currently, I've only ever lost bass after feeling a tap on the line due to shoddy leader-tying on my part or just not keeping enough tension on the line. If I were fishing in a tournament and my partner offered me some, I sure as heck wouldn't say no though. I'm sure there is something to the product that makes bass hold on to the bait longer. I haven't gotten around to trying the new injected plastics yet. Probably because I blew a couple hundred bucks on a couple of TD Fuegos priced too low to pass up. My bait monkey is satisfied... for now. ;D I'll probably check tackle warehouse out for them in a week or so. I love their free shipping.

Upgrade parts for Fuego
As of yesterday, ditto! I've just been having great luck lately. Found one locally for 125, and just sniped one off ebay at a buy-it-now price of 108 that had been created something like 2 minutes prior to me jumping on it like a rabid animal. Who says college brats can't have nice things?

Revo better than the Curado?
Skip Abu Garcia and Shimano and go straight to Quantum Naw, I might go buy a Kinetic or Accurist if I want something cheap, this post was not a comparison thread I was just wondering why nobody talked about these brands. Ok I have seen ALOT of talk about daiwa and I have seen that I like the way Feugos look, how much are these reels and what Daiwa reel is comparable to a Revo or Curado? I got a Fuego from some dude for a steal. It beats my Revo STX hands down. Brand new they run around $210.

Daiwa Limited Lifetime Warranty, Broken Cielo (sigh)- UPDATE
Did you even read the OP? Do you have to ask that question? :

Done with CX
I like PLine Fluoroclear better than CX when it comes to impact resistance. It's not very abrasion resistant, but I've never had it snap solely due to a big fish pulling on it - and I've used the 15# stuff to catch hard-fighting 10#+ river carp that swim against strong currents every day.

Zillion, Revo, Curado, Patriarch XT, Others?
I just got a TD Fuego, which I've heard is the poor man's Zillion. I also have a Revo STX. The Fuego blows the Revo out of the water IMHO. If the Zillion is an improved Fuego, I have to say that it's gotta be pretty awesome.

Talk me down off the ledge, so frustrated
Yeah main. It digs a lot easier and rather than it slipping against itself, it grips. I HATE throwing braind in tournaments because you have to dig it out after every fish/hang up From my experience, once you go above 40# test braid, it's usually thick enough in diameter not to dig in. Unless you're using Samurai in which case get 65# test.

mono?
YoZuri Hybrid Ultrasoft 12# This stuff is much stronger than it is rated. Plus it's soft and manageable, and wont spring off your spool if you don't put line conditioner on it.

T-Rig worms help!
IDK if it will make you feel any better, but in my experience bass will go as far as picking up t-rigged plastic worms that have been sitting on the lake floor and not moving when they're hungry. If I'm not getting any bites, I double check my presentation. If it's not my presentation, I move to a different location. 9 times out of 10, the problem is where I'm throwing it and not how I'm working it.

Help modding LC Pointer
Hey guys, I just got my hands on some LC Pointer 97 MRs. I saw that they had 3 trebles, and was wondering if there was any way to mod them down to 2 trebles and still have them suspend and dive properly. 3 trebles seems a little overkill for me.

T-Rig worms help!
Could be that your city park lake doesn't have very many bass left in it, or that you might not be fishing at the right place.

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
Funny enough, I just got like 4 LC Pointer 78s and 4 LC Pointer 128s for $7 each.

Talk me down off the ledge, so frustrated
Don't feel like you have to get an expensive BC to cast well. I can cast just as well with my $40 Daiwa Procaster as with my new Revo STX. Granted, the STX goes a little bit further due to its lighter drilled wiffle spool, but overall the two are fairly similar. I like the saying, "It's the Indian and not the arrow." Baitcasters just require a bit more preparation before every cast. If casting overhead, try turning the reel 90 degrees so its sideways. This puts more friction on the spool and prevents a lot of potential backlashes. Try casting smoother with more wrist action instead of harder like swinging a baseball bat. Lastly, even pros get backlashes. They just edit them out on TV. If you cast a heavy wind-resistant bait and it happens to catch a gust of wind, you WILL backlash. Doesn't matter if you're KVD, Skeet Reese, or Iaconelli.

Dont these look like a HUGE Largemouth Bass?

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
If you own a cat or dog, try this out - see if they will continue to attack a laser dot if it isn't moving. You'll find that they reason they are attracted to the dot is because it's something they haven't seen before, AND it's MOVING. My guess is that bass will attack a laser pointer dot because of the same principle. When you already have a crank with a wobble that puts out vibrations and moves like a fish, it kind of makes the laser thing redundant.
