Why you suggest the PQ? I want to pair either with a 6'8 Med/F Compre for Swallow /Med cranks and lipless cranks.

May have to agree. Whichever reel is better feel or whichever reel is in stock when I go.

Both reels are highly respected, wondered if either one is slightly better than the other.

I wasn't sold on the Enigma. What's your thoughts on the PQ vs the new Citica? I like both, wondered if anyone used either.

Anyone have thoughts on the New Enigma vs the PQ? Which would you prefer for cranking?

Question: Would casting a jig on 15# fluoro go farther using a 6'9 MH/XF tip, 6'8 MH/F or a 6'6 MH/F tip? After checking out the Smoke, Crucial, Compre and having a Carbonlite rod, I can't decide on which rod to get. Any thoughts?

I got some spooled and ready to go....now, only if I can fine the time to sneak out. What type of knot would you recommended for use?

Primarily for casting 5/8, 1/2, and 3/4 arky and football jigs. Thoughts?

I've sprayed the line with Reel Magic. Is KVD is better conditioner? Just spooled on some 100% Trilene 15# for casting jigs. Came down to 100% Trilene or Seaguar Invizx. So, I just made a decision.

How has using 100% Trilene worked for you?

I've heard and read the same about the Veritas. Not good, but others like them. I was looking for something in the $100 range, not too much more than that...hopefully on sale (last season's models).

x2 that! Atleast 2-3 rods have Rage Craw t-rigged or on a jig.

What's your thoughts on a BPS Johnny Morris Signiture II or Abu Garica Veritas rods? I have two Signiture I spinning rods, and I like their performance.

The majority of the water I fish there are few open water obstructions. So my thinking is that I would benefit more with Med/F rod and lighter line. Do you lose sensitivity using a heavier rod and line?

What would be the need for that much backbone in a rod for fishing open water with football jigs less than 3/4 oz? I was considering a 7' Med/F rod for primarily casting jigs w/ 12# flouro.

Would you use this same setup casting 3/8-3/4 oz football jigs and swallow/med depth cranks on the same rod? Second what line size (fluoro or braid) would you use?

I set up a 6'6 med spinning rod with #15 braid w/ #8 fluoro leader.
