The world was about to end and you had one day to do whatever you wanted? What would you do? It's a pretty cliche question, but still interesting to see peoples' answers.
  2. Your rods and reels sound good, but what you're going to use each for doesn't. I would use my cranking setup for topwaters too as long as they have treble hooks (spooks, jitterbugs,etc.). Try to get a M-MH rod with a Moderate action. I would then get a setup dedicated to light plastics and lighter jigs. I recommend using a spinning set up for this. I like M-MH power and a Fast action. Lastly, I'd dedicate a setup to spinnerbaits, heavier plastics, jigs, and single hook topwaters. Try getting a MH power with a Fast action rod. Vendettas are great rods for this. The Vendettas, Carbonlites, and Pro Qualifiers are quality products that will last awhile. I can't speak for the Carrot Stix or Stradic though. Hope this helped.
  3. The Eagles have good corners, but they don't have linebackers or a decent safety. They may be able to get by with this, but I doubt it. If Vick keeps on playing like he has been, he is bound to get hurt. You can't run that much without feeling the consequences IMO. Even though I hate the Pats, they are gonna be pretty good this year. I would really like to see the Bengals or Vikings do well, but I won't be betting on it.
  4. Sent a couple reels over there. He emailed everything that he was going to do to them. Great service.
  5. Don't really have a favorite, but I picked Strike King because I use there spinnerbaits, jigs, and plastics. Zoom and Berkley are up there too. They've got some great plastics. My favorite is what I'm catching fish on at one particular moment.
  6. Location has to be number one. You can't catch fish if there aren't any. I would say bait is second and then presentation. Cover and structure is the same as location basically and color doesn't play as much as a role as people think IMO.
  7. If you wanna get more money out of your coins, don't go to Coinstar. They take a pretty large percentage of each dollar you put in.
  8. How do you know us "young" people can't relate?
  9. Bama Rage Craw t-rigged on a 4/0 hook with an 1/8oz. bullet.
  10. Wow that really sucks. Happened to an abandoned golf course pond I like to fish for some reason. First time I went there I saw a countless number of dead bass along the shore. Haven't caught anything yet, but I've seen some and know they are still in there. Hope they get your pond situation figured out. It's really a shame to see that.
  11. The sensitivity is awful.

    Exactly how I rig mine.
  13. 96 in my pool right now. You can't even feel the water.
  14. I rig my Senkos on 30lb. Power Pro. No leader.
  15. Yes. Best braid for the price.
  16. I'm not much older, but I will try to offer some advice. I was going through the same thing you are a little while ago. My advice is the same as everyone else, SAVE. Just buy what you really need and try to save money in any way possible. I've saved by not buying fast food, not driving when I don't need to, and buy things that are on sale. Probably sounds like it's the obvious thing to do, but it can be hard at times. I've saved a lot by having a two-seater until today (just bought a new truck, finally). No room for my friends to sit, so they have to drive. Didn't intend it to be a way of saving money, but it has saved me a lot.
  17. I'm sorry, but that's hilarious.
  18. Some great pictures and an even better fish.
  19. Longhorn at $.99? I would start dipping that if it was the same price around here.
  20. I pay $2.76 a can here. Never heard of a can being over $5.00.
  21. I've had it happen once to a Tour Grade jig. Emailed Strike King and they sent me two brand new ones. Great customer service over there.
  22. I don't night fish very often, but when I do I usually use a black buzzbait. Best night fishing bait IMO.
  23. Don't think it was tongue hooked, but there was too much algae to get a good look. I've heard they die immediately when tongue hooked.
  24. Nope, not gut hooked. It was hooked deep in the mouth, but she didn't swallow it at all. It took all of about 10 seconds to get the hook out.
