CASTING REELS! 13 Fishing VS Shimano
For at least a year now. Once the spamming went away, so did the block ?
-
Booyah Pond Magic Spinnerbaits
The blades are so small on them that I doubt they'll run correctly if you add anything other than a tiny trailer with little action.

Bass Fishing Classic Sale 2022 BPS Question
Let's keep it on topic about the sale items and not opinions about BPS/Cabela's please.

When is a good spinnerbait scenario?
I hear you, that's why I started making my own spinnerbaits with huge copper Colorado blades and tons of thump.
-
Seaguar Tatsu or something else for main line
It's pretty thick, downsizing 1 size smaller than what you'd typically use seemed to help.

When is a good spinnerbait scenario?
I use a single Colorado 99% of the time in early spring, but occasionally, being able to keep it down deeper or reducing the vibration can get a few more bites and when you're only getting a few to start with, that's a big deal.

Seaguar Tatsu or something else for main line
IMO, you'll be wasting money on flouro for those uses. Get a good mono or copolymer like Sufix Advanced or Yo-Zuri Hybrid and you'll be much happier.

When is a good spinnerbait scenario?
I caught a 6.5lb prespawner in low 40 degree water on a red with double painted red willowleaf blades Strike King spinnerbait with a big pork chunk many years ago right after ice out. One of those extended warm fronts that melted the ice quickly and I think she had moved up shallow to sun. Only fish I caught that day but I'm fine with those kind of fish being the only fish on a early season day anytime.

Let's Talk Lipless Crankbaits
I've done it but it's nice to be able to buy a bait off the shelf and not have to mess with altering it to get it like I want.
-
Unique/Different spinnerbaits
Don't know, haven't bought one in a couple years. I have so many hanging on the pegboard in my garage that I haven't needed to but I know they were bought out so it's possible but I tie my own skirts so that's not a big issue if they did.

Reel for catfish rod
I'm sure you could find one but it would be easier to find a black reel to match the black on the rod. Okuma has the Ceymar baitfeeder that is mostly black with a little red accent on it for just a little more than the Avenger. I'd be more concerned about getting a quality reel than matching it to the rod though.
-
Seaguar Tatsu or something else for main line
For a purely bottom contact bait rod, Tatsu would get my vote.

Unique/Different spinnerbaits
Got anything with copper blades? Don't see them often and they flat wear the fish out here when the conditions are right. I like the War Eagle copper with a white skirt.

Death, it's going to happen
I'm an organ donor and spread my ashes across a lake somewhere, don't really care which one. This is always a morbid joking topic with my coworkers, but it's also semi-serious when you carry a gun to work.

Reel for catfish rod
Agreed with the Avenger. I have 5 of them for catfishing and they're excellent reels. A 40 size should be just fine for your rod.
-
Hardening Jig Paint In Toaster Oven ?
I also use the lower temp for longer time, seems to get a harder finish.
-
5"-6"inch boot tail line
I've got 16lb flouro on the rod I use for them.
-
Current Favorite Wacky Rig Hook ?
I get the Eagle Claw weedless Neko hooks I think you can only get from WalMart. Best hookup ratio I've ever had with a wacky rig has been with those hooks.

jigging spoons
For jigging, about 10'. I use them for schooling fish when you only need a couple feet though.

Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits
This is the easiest breakdown I could give. They both work in a ton of situations, but these are the only 2 factors that would make me reach for one or the other.

Let's Talk Lipless Crankbaits
The RES 2 tap is by far my favorite. A different sound with that good shimmy on the fall really gets bit for me. The 6th Sense Quake and Thud are solid baits. Booyah Knockers are really nice. I've got a couple new ones from Spro I'm really excited to use. They just launched a silent version of the Aruku shad. Hard to find the silent lipless baits so I'm excited about trying that for my heavily pressured late season power plant fish. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/SPRO_Aruku_Shad_Silent_Lipless_Crankbait/descpage-ASSLC.html Then the Wameku shad that has 2 different positioned line ties to make it run at 2 different depths with different vibration intensities, seems like a cool bait. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/SPRO_Wameku_Shad_Lipless_Crankbait/descpage-SWS70.html

Chunk Trailer on a Buzzbait
I never use a trailer on my buzzbaits.

When is a good spinnerbait scenario?
If the water is soft, bass will eat a spinnerbait. I've caught some of my biggest spinnerbait bass a day or two after ice out fishing a single Colorado bladed spinnerbait as slow as I can reel it. Only time I won't fish one is when there's lots of stringy grass to wrap up in the blades.

River2Sea S Waver
Bone and lite trout would be my color choices here, and we have very few lakes that have trout and that's only during a limited time of year.
-
Bass fanning out beds
Don't really care for the spawn. The late cold water period and prespawn is where it's at!
