  1. They're merged into 1 account now so we don't have to pretend.
  2. Justin on Kayak Catfish is one of my favorite ones to watch, bass or otherwise.
  3. Lots of fish will. I've caught some really large bass, and even walleye on cut bait fishing for catfish.
  4. Keep an eye on the flea market here. You can get some great deals on baits if you're fast, but the good deals go quick.
  5. They did last year, I assume they will this year. I've never heard of any catfishing tournaments out there. I haven't fished one of their tournaments in several years so I'm not sure how they work but they use to post info about them on the board by the ramp.
  6. The Baby Bull Shad is decent. I'd suggest not getting into swimbaits if you're trying to not spend much money on baits because the baits themselves are expensive, and you'll need specialized rods and reels to fish them.
  7. I've heard of several people breaking off new hooks on Zman baits and especially their Ned rig jigheads.
  8. I went to Academy this morning and they had pretty much everything. They even had some JJ's Magic, which I forgot to grab ?
  9. Welcome!
  10. living things die, happens all the time.

  12. I'm a speed setter when it comes to jig bites. In my experience, they don't play around with jigs, at least the fish I want to catch on them don't. If I feel anything that even remotely feels like a bite, I'm swinging right now. They'll hold a jig for a long time some days, but other times they'll do a lot of picking it up and blowing it right back out and you have to have that hair trigger to get them.
  13. They school up by the thousands that size in the warm water outlet in the power plant lake I fish in the winter, 12-18 inchers. No bass is touching them when they get that size but the flatheads and bluecats have got something to say about them. I hit a ball of them when they were spawning with my throw net once and had to dump a bunch out because I couldn't lift the net into the boat it was so full of those giant shad. It's a pretty good fight for a minute until you get them on the surface when you snag one that size though.
  14. The bigger size cast really well but I fish them on spinning gear. They don't target cast well, but I assume you're not casting under overhanging trees or around docks for white bass. There's a standard model that is even cheaper than the HD model also.
  15. I used Pline for pitching for years and caught a ton of fish with it.
  16. I have 3 Revros now. They've been my President replacements. My last President got replaced last week by a Pryocon I got a steal of a deal on. Not a better bargain spinning reel out there than a Revros IMO.
  17. I use a St. croix Legend Glass 6' 10" MH/M, best cranking stick I've ever owned.
  18. If it's calm, I'll go off the side. If the wind is blowing and I'm rocking, it's easier to keep my feet centered and use the scupper hole.
  19. Yeah there's 3 versions. The Hard Knock is a good bait. I've been a big fan of knocker style baits the last few years vs the regular BB style rattles.
  20. I made my own standup football heads with a 3/0 hook, wire keepers, and used a neck down pin for the weed guard so it's only about 5 fibers instead of a whole weedguard. Works great, way better than the Chompers head and easy to do.
  21. I use a 2/0 Owner covershot, best dropshot hook I've ever used.
  22. The 2" version of this bait or throw the 3" version on heavier line. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Berkley_Flicker_Shad_HD_Shallow_Crankbait/descpage-BFKS.html
  23. I have my traps in a Plano Edge 3700 box. My 1.5s are in a deep Plano 3700 with the rest of my cranks. The tangled mess that is my crankbait box would probably give a lot of guys an anxiety attack.
