Creature baits around docks?
Nailed it. If I'm fishing a T-rig, there's probably some kind of creature bait on it. The type might depend on the type of cover.

World's Most Expensive Glide Bait
FWIW, they had 2 in stock, now there's 1 ?

Baits you a gave a second chance (and glad you did)
Chatterbaits/bladed jigs. When they first came out and started winning tournaments down in Florida, I bought into the craze and couldn't catch a cold with them. Gave up on them completely and got rid of them. One day I couldn't get bit and happened to find one hanging in a tree. Tied that thing on and tore them up the rest of the day. The lightbulb turned on and now they're one of my favorite baits to fish.

Anyone still throwing a single Colorado blade spinnerbait?
I just made 2 3/4oz black spinnerbaits with #7 hammered copper Colorado blades this morning. Anytime the water is really dirty, they get tossed around. I fish single or double Colorado blades almost as much as willowleafs/Indiana blades.

Shimano caius combo
I'm not a fan of premade combos. It almost always seems like one piece of the combo (usually the rod), is of pretty low quality. I don't have any direct experience with this combo, but usually you can pick up a rod and reel for just a little more that is much better quality.

Does anyone actually "flip"?
Yes, especially if I'm in my kayak. Lots of time I drift up against cover and it's the best way to present a bait right next to me.

Flipping hook vs offset
The flipping hook I assume you're referring to are the heavy gauge, straight shank hooks with some form of keeper near the hook eye. They make lighter wire models for fishing in open water or lighter cover also.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
None of the fish I posted are crappie. The top is a largemouth, middle and bottom are both smallmouth.

Why is it so hard
I buy a lot of my stuff there and it just kind of depends. Usually it kind of balances out. I'll find it for a couple bucks cheaper, but the shipping charge puts it right back at about where it was if I got free shipping. Some of the stores do have good prices, plus free shipping over $50, so I can get a really good price. In the end, it comes down to do you need it or not? If so, then that's about the surest way to get an item.

World's Most Expensive Glide Bait
Good call, I'm not either and this working 10pm-10am stuff makes math hard.

Should I use clips?
I just started doing this last fall and wish I'd done it sooner. Removed all the split rings from my baits and using small snaps. Thought I'd get lazy and not retie as often but it hasn't been an issue. Plus I've caught fish I wouldn't have because I was able to try a different bait or color for a few cast that I wouldn't have if I had to completely retie.

Thin skirt material
I use the finesse cut skirt material from Fishingskirts on my micro finesse jigs. It's thin enough to work with jigs down to 1/8oz.

Inline spinners
Mepp's are the pinnacle of the inline spinner world IMO. They're also kind of pricy for what they are so I have a hard time buying them. I mostly only use them fishing creeks and ponds and I lose them a lot but they're great fish catchers.

World's Most Expensive Glide Bait
A bass will hit that, no doubt. It's only a few inches longer than a Mother Chaser. The weight and casting it would be the biggest issue. A Chaser is 1.5lbs, that Manifold is 3.5. That's getting into just being a trolling bait territory, although they make rods that could toss it, it's a matter of how long could a guy's shoulder and wrist stand up to fishing it.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
I catch lots of tiny bass fishing for flathead bait. But I catch plenty of them fishing for bass too. And probably my finest catch, on a Deps SS 175 on Beaver Lake, AR.

First Big Bass of season today 3 pound SM caught on funny lure
My wife caught her PB smallmouth on the smallest size Luck-E-Strike squarebill. I think it's maybe 1.5" long and 1/8oz or so. It was the second biggest bass of the tournament.

I wish I could find a place full of those bullhead around here. Those are some of the best flathead bait swimming.

Strike king hybrid hunter...
I don't fish the Swank 77 anymore, but I have fished one a bit. IMO, it's a big, noisy bait designed to draw attention, so I'd opt for the larger bait.

Strike king hybrid hunter...
The Rapala bait has a very suble wobble, the 6th Sense bait has an extremely hard wobble. I imagine that the Strike King would follow the 6th Sense.

That one bait/rig that you don't use but everyone else does
I never, ever use a C-rig. If you see me doing it, call 9-1-1, someone has a gun pointed at me somewhere. Pretty rare I fish a swim jig, just not often I run into a situation where I feel like they're better suited for it than my bladed jigs. Toads, if it's clear enough to fish a buzzbait, I use those, if not then I'm fishing a hollow body frog.

Hard re-boot
@Mbirdsley glad you're feeling better, but this is going the wrong direction in a hurry. LOCKDOWN!!

Gantarel Jr.
No pike to feed them to here. My largest bass I caught on one would have been nothing more than a snack for one of those things.
