  1. No reason to spend the extra money for fluoro with spinnerbaits imo. Copoly or mono for me. I'll get a 1/4lb spool of 15lb Big Game for half the price of even cheap fluoro and do just fine.
  2. I think I'm on the right track
  3. Crocs and crocs flip-flops, or barefoot. If it's cold I'll be rocking my Muck Rangers.
  4. I wacky rig far more often than T rig stickworms, but for some reason I seem to catch bigger fish on the T rig.
  5. Booyah for frogs and jigs Siebert for the jigs
  6. Bull Bream Lucky Craft squarebill is one of my favorite squarebills.
  7. I have no control. I have found that once you get to a certain point, you own most everything out there and slow down a bit, but it never stops.
  8. My LC baits that are Aurora color have some flash/slightly different color swirls through the sides of the bait. No idea if that's what it refers to, but it kind of looks like northern lights swirling through the sky.
  9. Couldn't catch a big one at X, so I had to do it at Oz
  10. Well they work.
  11. The boat I have now is the first one I've had with them, I will never own another without them.
  12. Jimmy Houston says if you kiss them and they kiss back, they're female.
  13. Spawning carp are a kiss of death for bass fishing in our lakes. If you can't get away from them, might as well go home or break out the bowfishing rig.
  14. A French Pearl 110 is a killer smallmouth bait for me, but this one ate a Pro Blue 110.
  15. Welcome!
  16. I like a strike king rodent or brush hog
  17. I haven't found one. I'll be trying the new Savage Gear popping frog this year, but it's going to be hard to top the Pad Crasher.
  18. I use braid for swim jigs, so can't comment on that. I use either 15lb Big Game or 15lb Pline CXX for spinnerbaits. If the cover is really heavy I might step up to 17 or 20 pound though.
  19. I'm with you 100% on this one @MNGeorge. I back reel because I feel like I have better control of the fish. The drag may be great, but I can increase/decrease pressure on a fish as I see fit during a fight so easily when I'm back reeling. I've always done it, will continue to do it, and it's a deal breaker if a reel doesn't have it. I still set my drag as a backup in case a fish takes off before I can back reel, but I'd much rather back reel than count on the drag.
  20. I just color mine with a Sharpie whenever it starts to fade. Color may not matter to the fish, but to my delicate mind it does.
  21. For you guys that fish them, what's your favorite color? Do you prefer the poppers or plain frogs? I was always a black or white frog guy, then @gardnerjigman started regularly giving me a beat down from the back of the boat with a Cricket Frog Popping Pad Crasher so I had to get one. Man does that bait catch fish! I had my best day ever on one of the local lakes, with all of my 5 biggest fish of the day on that frog. Now I've gone and got the Aquafrog, Ole Smokey, and Sunburn to try this year. The poppers work best for me because we have such little vegetation, they're easier to fish nice and slow and keep in any openings for a longer period of time. Curious what others prefer as far as color and popper vs standard frog?
  22. If I could have black and blue and Missouri Craw or similar, I'll catch them if they're eating a jig.
