Ned Rig Catches
It's kind of like flyfishing for trout in current, only the wind is the current. You watch the bag in your line until it "catches", stops, or starts to sink more than it should. That means it's either on the bottom, or in a fish's mouth.

Ned Rig Catches
Every situation for me. I can't catch a DS fish to save my life but can catch Ned fish all day.

Swimbait/a-Rig Rod
20-25 pound mono or copoly is what a lot of guys use.

New Swimbait Pb
It was pretty awesome to have missed it the week before and then go back and catch her like that. Not very often I get a plan to catch a missed big fish to come together, but it worked perfectly that day. Plus it was my biggest largemouth on a swimbait, and of the year.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Had one for awhile, wasn't impressed, sold it so I could buy something else.

I thought Chris doesn't use a net?

What Is The Minimum Size Jon Boat That You Would Buy?
Depends, where are you wanting to use it? I use to fish out of a 10' johnboat that the landowner kept at a pond that was maybe an acre. Worked just fine for that little puddle.

Rod For 4.7:1 Reel
I'd probably use it for a deep cranking rod.

Anyone Use A Moderate Fast Action Rod For Topwater
A fast or even XF tip is faster to recover and gives you more control when walking a bait. The difference in hookset speed will be marginal at best. Just make sure not to set the hook until you feel the fish (I usually reel into fish on walking baits before I sweep set into them).

Crankbaits Snaps Split Rings Or Both?
One or the other but not both. I prefer to tie to the split ring but nothing wrong with using the appropriate sized snap if the split ring is removed.

New Co-Angler With 2 Questions
I use to always take a bag that carried 6 3700 boxes and up to 6 rods. I found that following the KISS rule helped me a lot as a co-angler.

So, It Doesn't Look Like The Lake Will Freeze This Year...
It seems like whenever winter shows up late, it ends up staying late too. Last time I can remember having open water into January, it also snowed in May. I'd much rather have the cold weather when it's supposed to be cold instead of when I'm suppose to be catching topwater fish.

Chatterbait Rod
I use a 6' 6" MH/F LTB. Tried the glass rod thing and didn't like it. I've never felt like they have any problem inhaling the bait with a fast action anyhow and it's hard for them to get a bait out of their throats.

Bass Attractant For Backyard Pond
I haven't seen it online but it's in a book about bass that I own.

Post A Pic Of Your Jig Collection!
I have 3 3700 boxes packed full of jigs. It looks like a big tangle of hooks, skirt, and weedguards. There is no way I'm taking them all out to take a picture though.

Ned Rig Catches
Just a few that I have pictures of, but there isn't much I haven't caught with one.

Can't Decide On A Jerkbait/topwater Rod
I've been using a 6' 8" M/F Ethos Micro for a couple years and it has become my favorite jerkbait and spook rod. About half what you're looking to spend as well.

Bass Attractant For Backyard Pond
Have you ever seen the experiment they did with bass where they put several in a plain white tank and painted a black stripe on the wall? All the bass moved to be by the black stripe. If you have a pond with zero cover, those things are your black stripe. Put them in areas that already hold fish and you'll probably catch a fish off of them every time you fish them once they start using them.

Best Late Fall Lures?
Late fall is usually jerkbait time. Too many leaves on the bottom in most of our lakes right now to fish many bottom contact baits.
