  1. I built my own. Clear Rubbermaid tub big enough the tails don't touch the bottom and to fit around 30 baits. Drilled holes in the lid and ran wire through with a hook bent in so I can hang the baits by the line ties. Total cost around $10.
  2. Yeah they're their Fusion hooks and I've been very impressed with then so far after catching several dozen fish on a few of their baits.
  3. $7 and you won't need to replace the hooks or hardware makes them very affordable in my book.
  4. I need to check if the boat has bite marks after that. I got a little video of my reaction to it at least.
  5. Well, not the complete video because I screwed up and uploaded several of my videos under my wife's Youtube account and didn't realize it until after I'd deleted them off my Virb I'll have to try to get the other ones together for part 2. The trees were very good to us (I use the word "us" loosely as I spent a lot of time watching Coty catch fish Easily between 25-30 fish came to the boat out of one little stretch, all on beavers and they were just killing it, missed several also.
  6. Assuming it's the same as it was last time it was at Grand, no, there's no cost to attend anything. The final day weigh in you'll want to be there early though. We showed up an hour before weigh in and almost didn't get let in to watch it.
  7. As long as mine doesn't start to need a bunch of repairs, I hope to drive it for many, many more years. Mine's an '08 SR5 4X4 as well but it just turned over to 90K miles. About to need new tires and brakes, probably rotors too, but if all I have to do is put new footwear on her, I'll be a happy guy.
  8. Most of them around here have more money than sense anyways. I doubt it would slow down the stupidity much if it all.
  9. Welcome to the team Gary!
  10. I have a few 200B and a 200BSF that are in my regular rotation.
  11. I do pretty well with a bladed jig during the winter at the power plant lakes.
  12. Welcome!
  13. IMO, BPS has the worse store brand hardbaits that I've tried. I bought several on sale a few years ago. Hooks and rings were junk and had to be replaced, so I should have just bought a Strike King instead. Then none of them ran right and a couple couldn't be tuned at all. Even tried putting the original hardware back on and still didn't work. I go to Academy if I want cheap hard baits.
  14. Vertical (sideways), is how I rig a Pitboss or Menace on my bladed jigs 100% of the time. It's very effective.
  15. Great day on the water, and the Santa hat is a nice touch.
  16. I have 9 Ethos rods from the originals to the micros, great rods for the money. I'd look into the custom for sure though. If he's using a good blank and components and you get to pick your length/action/power, then that's a sweet deal on a custom rod.
  17. I've owned several boats and never found myself thinking "I wish my boat had a smaller motor".
  18. Both good reels. Feel like the I cast a little further right out of the box and feels a little tighter. Also fits nicer in my hands but that obviously will vary by user.
