New User. Where Do You Guys Fish?
Welcome! I fish all over Kansas and Missouri, little bit in Oklahoma and Arkansas too. If I can catch them on a jig or bladed jig then I'm happy.

Talking Finesse Jigs
I'm assuming he means something like an Eakin's Jig or one with the "finesse" cut skirt where it's short and flared on the top and normal length on the bottom. I like finesse jigs. I fish them on a 7' 1" MH/XF LTB/200IHG Curado/12-15lb Seaguar. I make my own jigs, only ones I fish. I fish finesse jigs everywhere I do other jigs, just when I feel like I need to downsize. I fish them in 1/4-1/2oz, depends on the depth mostly.

Spinbait 90 Problem And Solution
Hookups seem to be a pretty constant problem with the spinbait. I haven't had an issue, but it seems lots of others have. The most popular solution seems to be similar to what you did, except they usually just keep cranking slowly until the fish loads on, kind of like a buzzbait bite.

Someone Stole All My Fishing Gear
I had all my gear stolen once and my boat stolen once, never got a single thing back. It's a terrible feeling, but at least your insurance is going to cover it. It happened to me when I was still in school and obviously didn't have homeowners insurance, so I had to replace it all piece by piece again.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Pit Boss or other beaver bait catches lots of fish and gets through the grass easy. Last time I was out there, a tube was getting more bites though.

When the water is dirty, like I'm assuming it still is out there, bass will position themselves right on the bank and often facing towards the bank waiting for their next meal to get washed into the lake. It just makes your job a lot easier. Pitch in there, if they don't bite after the first couple hops, reel in and repeat. You can cover lots of water that way.

Ion Camera
I didn't know about the wi-fi app. That would be great so I can see if my big head is in the shot or not . The long recording time is great too.

Upstate Ny Prison Break
That makes me think they did it during the daytime (rec hours), when it's usually a lot louder. Overnight I can hear almost everything, can even tell when there's a fight or something going on in the upper floors if I'm working downstairs. Still, there's always some kind of improvements going on somewhere in the building or something that has to be worked on that requires power tools that make lots of noise that I guess could cause someone to not think anything about it. Obviously, there was some help from within, even if it was just turning a deaf ear and blind eye.

I go nocturnal.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Jake, Adam and I smoked them at Pleasanton yesterday. Didn't really fish much they wouldn't eat but a Pit Boss, frog, and bladed jig did most of the damage. Fish were just mean. I have no idea how many 2.5-3 pound fish we caught and thought were big fish until we got them in the boat, but it was a lot. Couldn't have asked for a better day except for not getting a big fish, other than that it was outstanding. Water was flowing over the road pretty good. I told Jake and Adam it's usually good when it's like that, thankfully they didn't make me look like an idiot. Water was up enough I even got my boat into the pond.- Five Days At The Cabin Ii
Wow, that's a monster pumpkinseed! I bet that was a pretty good little tussle.- Ion Camera
Check out the Garmin Virb. I have the Virb Elite. Easy to use and get started with and there's lots of add ons available out there. I got a nice suction cup mount for mine with an indicator that shows if it's coming loose, an adapter to plug into my boats cigarette lighter, and a wrist band controller to start/stop recording and take pictures.- Hookset Follies
Couple weeks ago during a weeknight tournament. I had my Virb Elite set up and recorded the whole night. I counted 13 times a fish either came off or I missed them altogether. Not surprisingly we didn't win that night. Last week wasn't much better. Seemed like every bigger fish that blew up on my frog just missed it completely.- Suggestions For Dampening Rod Vibration
