Ups Gave My Slammer Away
It's easy to go through $60 in plastics in a good weekend, nobody bats an eye at that. I've caught dozens of fish on my Slammers and they're ready to catch dozens more. So if you look at cost efficiency, they're pretty cheap. Fishing them on 20lb or heavier line with no pike or muskie here, it could last a long, long time.

Table Rock Lake Guide
They depend on those fish to make a living. If every angler kept their 5 and they fish 5 days a week, 100 bass a month taken out, 1,200 a year. Multiply that times several dozen guides. If you go to Table Rock and want fish for a fish fry, get a trout permit and some Powerbait and go down to Taneycomo and catch a bunch of trout.

What Lures Have You Been Using To Slay The Bass Right Now
Frog and a squarebill were the ticket last night. A beaver and bladed jig have probably been the most consistent producers though. With all the high water up in the weeds I've caught more frog fish already this year than I normally get to catch in an entire season.

Table Rock Lake Guide
Bill Babler or Bill Beck have forgotten more about Table Rock bass than most others will ever know.

Yep, she was pretty sunk in. Still encouraging to catch a fish like that out of a lake that usually kicks my butt though.

Huddleston 68 Special Weedless For Smallies!?
The top one came from a lake that's mainly smallmouth, bottom one is mainly a largemouth lake. Smallies really seem to like glide baits. The 168 S Waver and 175 Slide Swimmer are both good smallie baits. Some of my biggest swimbait smallies have fallen for Bull Shads though.

Just A Thought....
You're right, not everyone does, can't force people to post personal information if they don't want to though. Just thought I'd mention it in case you were unaware that some do post their ages up.

Anyone Else Neglecting Their Spinnerbaits
I just installed 4 rows of those same hangers in my boat. They're plastic and actually help keep the hooks from rusting and the skirts from gumming up. Cooks Go-To tackle is what mine are.

A lot of members, especially the younger ones, post their age in their profiles. Just click on their screen name and you can check if they have it posted or not.

She Almost Beat Me!
Fishing one of my favorite big bass lakes last Monday, just me and the dog. Took awhile but finally figured out the jig bite and knew it was just a matter of time before a good fish bit. You can see my rod thump down when she inhaled it at the base of a swim ladder and swam through the steps of said ladder. She almost got through it far enough that I could get her back out. Thankfully, I think it had plastic steps or I probably would have never seen her. Not a monster but a hard earned, solid fish and a very scrappy fighter! Fell for a homemade finesse brush jig in a color I call grasshopper.

No Luck On A Jig
I fished a jig and nothing but a jig for 3 days in a row before I finally caught a fish on one for the first time. Just like any other bait, some days it works and some days it doesn't. Since you're fishing a pond I'd suggest downsizing with something like a Bitsy flip. Pond bass tend to eat smaller prey items so that will more closely resemble what they're used to eating.

Fish I D
I guess they probably get pretty plain colored in a lake or reservoir sometimes. I don't have much experience with browns but the ones I've caught, even the little guys are colored up and obviously brown trout.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
If you have a boat or know someone who wants to fish that does, we'll be starting at 6 if the storms stay away. There's a Facebook page I can send you also if you want to follow along in case someone has an empty seat. No problem. I wish I could fish it more often but I take my dog pretty much every time I go fishing and they're supposed to be on a leash out there. Pretty tough to control a hyper 70lb golden retriever and fish at the same time. There's tall grass around the edges and lots of grass in the lake. Every bass in that pond is about the same 1.5-2 pound size. Used to be some big ones but people found out about them and you know what happened next.

Looks good. I bet we're going to start seeing a bunch of baits like that shortly!
