  1. Didn't even have to click on it to know what it was. My old dog took that walk this past winter. It was his time, he couldn't even hardly stand up without help and was almost completely blind and deaf. He still showed just a bit of bounce in his step whenever I'd visit him at my parents house though. Our little girl now is the best dog I've ever had though, kills me to think about the day she's not here anymore.
  2. Academy H2O rods for $40 when they're on sale. I have 8 of them.
  3. I normally do better when it's tough. I can grind bites out almost anytime, but seems like I have a hard time getting the big enough bites when they're jumping on everything.
  4. Yes, OP please read the forum rules regarding infomercial baits. LOCKDOWN!!

    Welcome!
  6. I caught a sleeping bag on a jigging spoon once. I unhooked it and released it quickly before I found out if there was anyone still inside it or not.
  7. It's a remote that's linked to the camera so I can start/stop recording or take a still picture. It just makes it easier to find the catches when I stop a clip when I catch a fish. I don't leave any hooks laying out and there's plenty of room to keep them out of the way so I don't step on any. The dog is the biggest concern usually when it comes to stepping on hooks. I had that on too Problem is it also counts cast apparently.
  8. I have a few Dep's 175s and really like them. Like Deep said, even when they don't bite it they'll come up and take a look at it. Easy to fish and catches fish of all sizes. You can get them for relatively cheap too now.
  9. Nice! I'd be torn between the desire to throw swimmers at them and the desire not to lose my expensive baits!
  10. I fish the Ned rig a lot. Save yourself the heartache and leave them in the package they come in. I don't soak mine either. They catch fish well with the salt in them and lose it quickly after a few fish.
  11. I just recently had the chance to fish for peacocks in the Miami area for the first time myself. I used 20lb braid with a leader but I think I would have gotten more bites with a lighter line that was harder to see in the clear water I was fishing. I only had 2 combos with me though and felt braid would be more versatile so that's what I took.
  12. Probably, maybe they'll stock some smallies for you
  13. Great looking fish!
  14. They'll be everywhere, just a matter of time. On the plus side, that lake has monster drum already, should just get bigger now
  15. Seems like it's rained every day for the last 2 weeks here. I was going either way Tuesday but thankfully it stayed clear enough for me to use my Garmin Virb Elite and get some of my fish on camera.
  16. I'll put this on the FB page too but just so you guys can see, fish weren't hard to get at Lone Star on Tuesday. Lots of fish that were left out of the video and I only fished less than 1/2 of the lake and had a limited amount of time to do it.
  17. I've had big bass eat sunfish I was reeling in on more than one occasion, part of what got me started fishing bigger swimbaits. One of the biggest bass I've ever seen attacked a 12-14 inch bass I was reeling in from a strip pit. She was big enough to engulf all but the head of that bass crossways in her mouth.
  18. They got returned by the truckload when I worked at Cabela's because they were broken. No idea if that was due to user error or just bad rods though. I tend to think it was user error due but I've never fished one myself.
  19. Bluegill beds around here are usually dark in the middle and light on the edges due to all the silt in the areas they normally chose to make their nest.
  20. Ned rig catches them from 5" to 5 pounds and every kind of fish that swims.
  21. Best just to leave them in the package IMO.
  22. I caught both my big ones in Florida on a T rigged Pit Boss. Had several follows on a Xrap too.
  23. Yeah, I'd do that, mine is on it's last leg. Send me a PM and we can figure it out.
