  1. Great fish! I'm sure the story is coming right?
  2. Pitch it into the holes in the weeds and let it hit bottom. It's like anything else, you'll have to mess with retrieve until you find what they want. Some days you have to deadstick it, others it will never hit bottom, some days they'll eat it right as you're giving up and going to pull it back out of the weeds.
  3. I had it in both my elbows but mainly the left one. I wore a pressure band on it for awhile and it made it go away completely.
  4. Megastrike not only helps get bites, it also helps hook fish!
  5. Bass have no idea it's made for saltwater. If it looks like something they could/should eat, one is going to try to eat it at some point.
  6. Welcome!
  7. I much prefer the Pit Boss over the Craw Fatty in the Havoc lineup. The Craw Fatty is too thin for my likings.
  8. Yes they will. I think the issue is one getting a Weedless 68 Hudd into their mouth far enough to get hooked. I've had them hit a top hook 6" but never hook up. I've caught them on bigger swimbaits than a 68, but those were treble hooked swimbaits. Even with treble hooks, smallies have a habit of just ramming a big bait without opening their mouth to try to stun it first and you'll miss a bunch because of it.
  9. The first time I went to Mexico I actually caught a bunch of fish on a Little George. I think the Tilapia had just spawned so they were eating lots of little baitfish and something about that compact profile they liked.
  10. More bass than I'd ever want to count, sunfish, crappie, catfish, walleye, white bass, a snapping turtle, bullfrogs, almost a goose.
  11. A fiberglass arrow works great! Right now you can go looking for a mulberry tree dropping fruit if there's any in the area. If you find one hanging over the water, you'll be able to catch carp there for sure.
  12. I've had crawdads grab a bait and try to flip away with it, it's a crazy feeling when they do.
  13. Green pumpkin was about the only color they'd eat in the muddy water Thursday night.
  14. Bassresource does not condone ANY illegal activity regardless of if it was your first/only time or not. LOCKDOWN!!
  15. Dep's 175 and River2Sea Bubble Walker 80 have both been really good baits for me this year. I just started fishing them but I think the new YUM Bad Mamma is going to be a good one too. The Biospawn Exostick has been really good too.
  16. Dark colored jigs and bladed jigs are about the only baits I use at night. I don't like trebles after dark because a bass caught on trebles is hard enough to deal with in the daylight.
  17. I think I'd spend a couple hundred more on a new johnboat and trolling motor. That sounds like a huge undertaking that could be very dangerous if it isn't done correctly. If you're confident in what you're doing, maybe it's a great deal for you, I'd just be really sure you're 100% confident in what you're doing before you dive into that project so you just don't end up out a bunch and money and have a boat that you can't use.
  18. What are the specs on the rod? I can think of a few different uses on a rod that length depending on what it's rated for.

I've seen the video a couple times but had to watch it again. It's good to see good people out there still willing to help out those in such a desperate situation.
  20. Forgot that my wife took this video in Florida.
  21. Forgot that my wife got part of the fight with my biggest Peacock on video on her Iphone.
  22. Someone put a 10 pounders head on a 5 pounders body! That thing will be a giant if it's body catches up with it's head
  23. You might check out the River2Sea Bubble Walker. Very similar body style and action but half the price and the paint is more durable.
  24. 5XD is my absolute favorite deep crank, tough one to beat.
