OK, I threw everything, and caught nothing.
I've been three times and skunked everytime so far. Water temps have been in the 45 to 48 degree range. Water is also muddy. I've thrown everything but nothing. I think I just haven't found the active fish, Doesn't matter, still better than not getting to fish. I'm going again tommorrow, before I launch I'm going to walk once around the boat forward then twice around the boat backwards I think that should work. LOL

How Shallow is Too Shallow?
If your lure comes back with dry dirt on it, then I would say that is to shallow. Otherwise go for it.

Why does everyone buy the lures that win The Classic
I find this kind of funny that it sounds like people aren't buying the lures because he won the classic. I've read alot of threads where people ask "What should I use" Everyone chimes in with there favorite baits that catch fish. Why not take the advice of a Pro? We no his baits catch fish. The people that are saying they didn't fall for it are the ones that probably bought them all out. Everybody uses baits that someone has told them catch fish or have seen someone use to catch fish. Why would you not try them out?

Winning Baits
It just seems that you never see a pro on the final weigh in, saying "Boy if weren't for those zoom junebug worms I would have never won this thing" It seems that everybody is running and gunning. Although I don't think I would have the patience to bounce a worm off the bottom. I would rather have a bait that was always on the move.

Winning Baits
I'm just curious, it seems that whenever you here of the pro's winning a tournament that they always do it with hard baits. Has there been pro' s who have won a tournament with soft baits like worms etc.

Bed Fishing
Around here where the word "Red Neck" originated, I have seen people sit for hours trying to get a bedding bass to bite, throwing everything in there tackle box. I've seen people toss Grappling hook anchors into the nest trying to snag them anyway they can. And yes they do keep everything they catch regardless of how they caught it. If rigged correctly you could take a hot dog weiner and keep throwing it in the nest, She will eventually pick it up to move it and get caught. I no others have there opinions, but after seeing some of the tactics I've seen, it just kind of makes me sick to see so many boats on the water during nesting season sitting at one nest for hours and hours, then never see those guys back on the water all year long.

Bed Fishing
Is it just me or do others think its just wrong to jerk these big females off their nest... ? I watched a guy who rigged a regular hook with a 1 foot leader and tied on a treble hook. Rigged the regular hook with a live lizard, fish would come take a look at the lizard and he would foul hook the bass in the side with the treble. He was so proud that he had found a way to catch bass off the bed...Made me sick. I just wish I had something to poke a hole in his boat and sink him right there on the spot. I enjoy seeing them, but I never try to catch them off the nest. Just makes me feel good knowing there are big bass in the lake that I fish.

Educate me on Tube fishing
I can understand what SeanW is trying to say, probably 75% of the new techniques I have learned this year have come from this forum and watching videos on you tube. You can become an expert on technique, rigging, and color selection by watching videos, but executing the technique takes time on the water. I think cabin fever is setting in, Time to take a chill pill and relax.
