  1. You guys must have not seen under his picture it said the man holding the fish is "10 feet 7inches tall and Weighs 425lbs. LOL!!!!! I knew i had caught a double digit, d**n Scale.
  2. I never thought i'd see you say that color matters.
  3. I had one of the Pond Prowlers when I lived in Florida, Me and my brother in law used that boat for around 8 years. I never put it in a Garage I always just leaned it on the side of the house and never had any problems with it melting nor did the boat itself get weak. These boats are made of the same materials that black plastic plumbing pipe are made of. I rammed the one I have now into a rock bank and put a small hole in it. Went to Lowes and bought a piece of black pipe drilled holes in the pipe to make shavings. I took the shavings laid them over the hole, took a torch and heated a large screw driver and touched the shavings to melt them. Hole is fixed and ive never had another problem with it. These boats are tough. When I moved away from florida a buddy of mine ask if he could have my boat, I gave it to him so i guess he is still using it today.

WRB I like the looks of this scale and with your recommendation am ready to purchase one. It looks like the hook has a blunt end, How do you get the fish hooked on this scale to weigh them.
  7. I think he was saying there are several PA members here on Bassresource.

  11. Skinks were thick in Florida, Never did see any in fresh water while fishing for bass. My cat bit the tale off of one and walked like he was drunk for 3-4 days.
  12. I don't want to hijack this thread, But how do you guys fish a SENKO? LOL
  13. Is that pic upside down...LOL no what you mean, Brutal in WV also.

  16. I guess you have to buy over a certain amount to get the 25%
  17. Only Ice fishing I've ever done was for trout on smaller lakes that the state would stock. Get you a thick piece of styrofoam to stand on and go for it.
  18. Went out Yesterday, 19 Degrees when I put the boat in the water. 46 degree water was the warmest I could find. I was using braided line and after the first cast I couldn't cast anymore my line was frozen to the spool LOL. I never got a bite fished for about 5 hours. Anybody else catching any??
  19. Whew!!! I thought it was just me. I haven't caught a fish in my last 3 outings. Going tomorrow, just got my Matt Lures Bluegill Swimbaits. Hopefully I can at least get a bump. I usually fish from sunup to sundown so 24 hours of fishing and not even a hit. Like the O.P. I have thrown everything in the bag.
  20. There is no sport in jug fishing. I see people mainly fishing for catfish this way, and everything they catch they eat. It reminds me of when I was in Florida all those crab traps on the river. Most people use milk jugs with a line hanging off of it. Makes the waters look real good with milk jugs floating on the water. It's just my opinion but I think it should be outlawed.
  21. I think a lot of guys fishing from the shore automatically just cast straight out, with the mind set of deeper water is where the fish are. Try starting out with a cast parallel to the bank, then a little bit farther out. Fan casting-like the numbers on your watch start at a 9:00, cast to a 10 to an 11 etc, etc. The main thing is don't give up some days a rubber worm is just not what they are looking for. Next time your in wally world pick up a couple of the lesser expensive spinner baits. Trust me if you spend enough time reading and fishing, nobody completely figures it out. Being able to spend time fishing is what its all about, Catching a fish every now and again is a Bonus!!
  22. I've been scared to purchase one of these. Your right a reel guy is a good probability.
  23. Just wondering what opinions are? I've been looking on ebay at reels and see a lot that say they are re-conditioned. Are these reels that have broken and customers sent back for repair? Where are they getting the reels that are being Re-conditioned ??
  24. You need to post a picture of that Fish finder, Maybe can get your friend to make me one.
