Chronarch 51E Or E7??
I know both are great reels but had a question. I know the 51E handles light lures beautifully, but is it good with normal sized baits as well? Say, upto about 3/8oz lures (spinnerbaits, etc)? If its not I was going to go with the E7. Your thoughts??

My boy n' me hit the pond JaxBasser mentioned over by the Chaffee rd. Holiday inn with no success. Tried bluegill colored lipless cranks and I tried a bomber 1a squarebill oxbow bream color, and even threw the ol' bass crack (senko) with no luck. We hit the one directly beside Holiday Inn and the one accross the street as well. Must have just been an off day...The bigger lakes have been producing better for me (Palestine and Ocean pond). We did hit a pond near my work (CSX) off of pritchard road when you go over the overpass for the railyard heading toward 295 and caught 4 in about an hour all on watermelon/black senkos. Nothin big, dinks upto bout 1.5lbs but still fun. Hope ya'll are all doin well. Hopin to get my jonboat onto palestine real soon here.

Big Bluegill/sunfish
A new one I have discovered recently by trial and error is Gulp Maggots. I have taken the wife and kids out and they have had a blast with these. I will go down to the water after scoutin out an area where I see some gills swimmin around. I will toss out a good pinch of these to chum them up and get them frenzied then bait the wife and kids' hooks and toss them into the fray. The kids grin ear to ear, and I get the enjoyment of that, on top of watchin a beautiful woman jump up and down like a lil girl when she catches them "all by herself". LOVE it!!! I have since taught her to bait her own hooks and take the fish off on her own while I am casting for green fish after I get the gills all riled up for them. SO much fun had by all of us!!!

Symetre,president,orra??????
Have owned the President and the Symetre. Both great reels and you can't go wrong with either one, just depends on what you wanna spend. If you can spare the cash, get the symmetre, for sure. It was definitely my favortie of the two. It's lighter and smoother to me.

Best And Worst Piece Of Fishing Advice You Ever Got

Favorite Jig Trailers
ragetail craw and baby craw. That eeliminator looks pretty hot on that jig from page 1 though! I GOTTA try that! Can't believe I haven't already!!

Jigs...need Some Direction
I just replied to a similar jig question yesterday I think. Anyway, give this a try, 3/8 or 1/2oz football head jig in the rocks. My favorite for this is a green pumpkin jewel bait co. finesse football with a green pumpkin or okeechobee craw rage tail baby rage craw, and if you can, dye the very tips of the claws chartreuse (I use JJ's Magic). I haven't found a rocky lake yet that this thing won't work on if they are taking jigs. Smallies and green fish both eat it up. Use this or a similar bait set up, and the rod/reel recommendations above, along with the tips on fishing them like in Glenn's videos and you'll be a jig fanatic in no time flat.

Question For The Rage Guys
For 3/8 or 1/2oz jigs I use the craw with the first section pinched off. For smaller or finesse jigs it's the baby craw. If you find some pea gravel try this...3/8oz jewel(my fave for this technique) or any other finesse football jig with a baby rage craw. My preferrence is green pumpkin jig with okeechobee craw trailer, very tips of the claws dipped in JJ's magic chartreuse. Find some good pea gravel structure, chunk that baby out there, let 'er sink to the bottom, and either hop or drag n' shake it. Hold on tight.
