  1. Supposed to head up either Monday or Tuesday. Hope to get some fishing in. Got to start working on the tree that Laura knocked over, but I'm going to take my time. Cooler weather will make work a little more bearable. Thanks for the reports Bass Fanatic.
  2. Nice fish Blaster. What’d it weigh?
  3. Glimmer blue fluke in the jungle with 50 lb braid, 4/0 trokar hook to yank ‘em out. Like blaster said, gotta hit those tight spots in the thick stuff.
  4. Caught almost 20 this afternoon. Most on a glimmer blue fluke and some on a pop R imitation. 61 degrees water temp where I was (mid-lake). The bass were blowing up the shad all over. The biggest was 4.5.
  5. I hope you don't mind, but i'm going to share this video to the fishing Toledo bend reports on facebook. I hate freakin thieves, plus I've got a place off of Carter's Ferry.
  6. Wednesday I got caught just south of blue lake after the wing picked up to 20-25 mph. Idling our to the boat lane, i took a few waves over the now. I had 6” of water in the cockpit til it drained and got pumped out. The ride was a rough one, to say the least. 20 to 25 mph was the max I could go. Launched Ofer quite a few waves. The ole 20’ bass cat proved her worth again. Caught 4 that morning, 2 on ribbits & 2 oh hollow body frogs. Thursday I went to the back of a small cove that I know has matted grassy stuff. I got there around 11. Ended up catching 20 with 99% on ribbits and a few on flukes. Probably missed 10 or so that threw the hook. All were 1-2.5 lbs. I think I was back at the camp at 2 pm. The lake rose 2’ in 3 days. Lots of rain up there.
  7. Congratulations Catt! Definitely a trip to remember.
  8. Thanks for the report Blaster. I'll be headed up either Saturday or Sunday for a week. Do you live on the same side of San Miguel that Amateur Hour has his camp or are you on the Carter's Ferry side?
  9. Tranquillity Bay would be the launch to use. The launch by the 191 bridge has been closed since the money box was stolen. Two weeks ago it was still closed. Tranquility Bay is on hwy1215.
  10. I'm sorry for you loss Blaster. Prayers for you and your family.
  11. I'll be heading up tomorrow just in time for the next front and colder weather. Bought 3 new Duracell AGM batteries for the trolling motor, so I'll have that to do when the weather turn cruddy. The Orbital AGM's i'm changing out are 10 years old. Hope I get at least half of that with these. I'll be in San Miguel and maybe main lake around Clear Creek to Pendleton, depending on the wind. Stop and say hi if you see the old Bass Cat with the yellow bolt.
  12. There's a line of those pallets that stretch from left to right if your boat is parallel the boat lane on the west side of the lane and your bow facing NTSP. Where it stretches to the left, it comes up on a ridge, and if you go toward the park from the pallets/structures it comes up on another ridge/hump. I've caught bass on the ridges, and also worked a slab spoon down the slope and around the structure and caught white perch. I haven't caught too many, but occasionally a few. Those pallets stretch almost to the boatlane. Very easy to find on SI.
  13. Dang, that's a lot of traveling. How's that new boat compare to the old one? I know when I'm fishing other areas and not having much success, my mind always drifts to my little honey hole by the camp.
  14. I used to fish it quite a bit when I had a camper at Turtle Beach. Caught a few decent fish there plus a lot of schoolers (keeper Kentuckys). I spent most of my time by the intersection, but I did occasionally fish the humps southeast of the N/S midlake boat lane. I've heard they were good night time fishing spots too, although I never tried.
  15. Best of luck to you JC. Good fishing to you down south.
  16. So do I. My last trip up my lawn mower battery was dead and my jump starter decided to not take a charge. Picked up a small charger to leave up there for this purpose. Getting stuff together to head up this afternoon. Hopefully the rain up there has cooled off the water some and got the fish active.
  17. Good luck and quick recovery Blaster.
  18. White headed underspin with a white zoom fat Albert (curly tailed grub), A-rig, Little George, slab spoon, flutter spoon to sink under the schoolers. Lots of options if you’re close enough to cast to them.
  19. Spent too much time having work done on the camp. I did get out for 2 hours, 130-330 Friday afternoon. Missed 3 and caught 2 fishing a drop off into 30’. Biggest was 5.25 and the other was 2.5. Carolina rigged Old Monster California 420.
  20. Ha. Definitely looks like a waste of time in that mudhole! I've almost been tempted to drag my kayak over there.
  21. We can definitely hope!
  22. Nice report Blaster. Thanks. Planning to head up Tuesday. Hopefully this trip is more productive than my last trip. Catt, have you been doing any damage in the Pool?
  23. Good luck with that blood clot.
  24. We’ll Be there sometime tomorrow.
