  1. Never give up .... There were days where I have skunked for whole week of fishing at the lake as a shore fisher.
  2. Thanks to you - I have already reached out to him and making plans to drop it off
  3. Am gotta steal your idea - Now those unwanted muffins has a new purpose at my home
  4. I'm done for the year - bank fisher This year has been one of the most difficult for me, but I have caught my personal best at the lake that I tend to fish at 6.71lbs.
  5. I am saving up for those academy lures - they have become my favorite lately ! They just catch fish when others dont. I just hope they aren't dismissing it for good. They just cant do that !
  6. That is my winter project as well. I told myself that I need to get better since I can skip with my spinning rod. It just rolls like butter on hot pan sauce. baitcaster always fubar, got the SV103H for it. Nice Thread by the way
  7. Interesting. I like small spools or small size like 50 to 70 for palm purpose. I hate those big ones my scoropin 70 is for my fluke setup with St. Croix Mojo Bass. I was able to cast far (35 yards) with two on, two off with setting at 3. Using 8lbs line.
  8. agree --- I tend to go one size down. If I want a 12 lbs line, I would get 10 lbs due to breaking strength. I have not lost a fish on that or breakage yet.
  9. That looks awesome ---- gotta check out how much it cost.
  10. That is my next purchase if I get the final job offer that should happen soon
  11. Exactly - I have so much that I had to get another storage for my stuff
  12. Thought about getting the Curado DC for skipping rod but thank god that the 20% has expired.
  13. Nice Tip --- never knew that.
  14. I would suggest a leader line for that, since you are putting 40 lbs line. It might be so tough to pull it out if you get snagged. For wacky, I like 10lbs braid line with 10 lbs FC leader
  15. I have broke several. The major one was casting and it just cracked in half.
  16. Yup he is
  17. Used to shop at Basspro/Cabelas in the past but TWH (Tacklewarehouse) has taken the cake. They have everything that I need and always buy during the sales
  18. Read the story ... that was a "HAWG STATUS" !
  19. Those SV are overbreaked - I got a steez spool for the SV103H and that bombed way better than the SV Spool.
  20. Located in Prince George: Got this favorite rod which the reel seat nut that seems to come loose when I tight it. I have tried everything to make it stay on with plumber tape and tape on it. I know its a long shot but might need to look for a new rod or replace it. It's a good skipping rod that I like to use (JB Custom Rod). I thought about making this a "Winter Project" by doing it myself by getting some components from mudhole. 1) How do I determine the reel seat's size to go on that rod ? 2) Is there a local or rod builder that can replace it. What would be the average price on that ? Thanks in advance.
  21. Just get a dawia fuego - I wouldn't trust anything from kastking
