funny how kids will do that lol I rarely got up with them though if they were really fussy and my wife couldn't get em to sleep my magic arms would. She would try to get me up at first and id just lay there and tell her shes the one with boobs not me I'm good for diapers and that's it lol so I got to sleep lol.

Most maps have a contour interval labeled on it some where if the interval is 1,2,5,10,25 what ever it may be is the change in elevation from one line to the next so if you have 10 lines really bunched up on a map that's has a interval of 5 that's really steep. Some will have one line labeled 30 the next will be labeled 60 basically telling you its a straight drop off. Some maps will have hash marks on the lines to to show a depression like a hole it would look similar to a bulls eye with hash marks going towards the center. Just rings would be a hill or hump in the lake that usually attracts bait fish. A point Would look like a spike on a heart monitor several of them following each other would be a point.

I always see them on sale I don't think iv paid full price in years there always 25,30,50% off depending when and where ya go I usually pay 3-5 bucks for them. Iv never had any issues mentioned other then the skirts dry rotting off after a year or two or the stick on eyes falling off nothing major skirts I usually put back on and I keep the twist ties from bread and roll bags in my box and just throw that on there to re attach the skirt.

Yeah that's my biggest thing is I want to be able to just switch fast and not have to rig some thing up and all this and that to find out its not what they want and have to re do it all again more combos means more time with lures in the water and not in my hands getting tied on.

See I think once I get a boat I will really expand like how you have 2 rods for Texas rigged plastics depending on weight and one for tubes. Right now im stuck in a canoe or on the shore. The wife is all for getting a boat even a bass boat she says when shes not fishing she can lay down on the deck and tan fine by me! lol I think for this up coming season im gonna go with the combo's listed then next season add on top of that ad so on and so forth.

I use Fat Albert grubs(only because I haven't gotten my hands on rage tail ones yet), Rage tail Space monkeys after they have been beat up but i cut them in half and use what ever is left as a trailer or I cut in in half new and depending on jig size and what I'm going for dictates if it gets the small pincers or the bigger ones this was my go to for swim jigs last year but I mostly got big fat pike on them. Also on my list is Stanley Ribbit frogs this was amazing early in the spring/summer transition some thing about it on a 1oz grass/swimming jig they hated just hated it I had brown trout smacking it early spring along with some big spawning pike all the way down to 10" bass barely bigger then the jig and trailer it just drove them nuts for some reason.

Right now I'm thinking Revo SX 7'6" Veritas MHF 50# PP-Texas rigged plastics(have already) Revo S 7' Veritas MM Winch 12# flouro of some kind- Cranking Revo S 6'9" MHF micro- Spinners Citica 7' MHF Lightning 50# pp- Frogs/buzzbaits(have already) them are the reels I have so far just need 2 rods I remember I had that lightning with a Pflueger Echlon on it im gonna move to back up or maybe put on a jerkbait/topwater rod some thing 6'6" Medium action then I'm 99% certain I'm gonna pre order a Gen 3 Revo S and mount it on the 7'11 H-MF Veritas flipping stick and that will be my jig rod and that will be it for my casting set ups and I think I have all my bases covered. then my spinning set ups I think im gonna go with the new Revo sx on the 6'9" vendetta ML-XF for weightless plastics and lighter plastics like tubes and grubs. Then a skipping/ river wadding set up that will be a new Revo S on a 6'6" Veritas MH-F. All I gotta do after that is get a boat to haul it haul with lol. I already bank fish with 4-6 rods as it is im just going to all new higher quality stuff instead of crappy POS combos picked up at DSG on clearance.

How many Combo's do you guys use? not how many that you have but how many would you say you use every outing. Iv been working out a list of combo's I'm gonna set up and I got done and looked at it and was like holy crap that's a lot of set ups lol. So now Im scaling it back and thinking of what I throw the most and what lures I have because I had 2 cranking set ups on my list and I NEVER throw a crank I have maybe 15 and 10 of which are small shallow divers I use in the river on spinning tackle. So how many combos do you all use on average right now I have 4 "good" reels sitting at home 3 of which need a rod 2 Revo S's and a Citica then I already have my Veritas and Revo SX that was/is my jig/Trig combo. So how many combo's do you use and what are there uses.

How much do you guys sleep at night. Iv found my self in a new sleep schedule actually more like nap schedule. For about a month now iv been averaging 3-4hrs a night. I wake up on my own wide awake no need for an alarm. I don't ever get tired either like I used to it kinda paid off these past few days working 18+ hour shifts for the mission we just had it was nice not having to adjust my sleep at all. Some of the guys here all they do is sleep like they seriously sleep 16+ hours a day they sleep all night and day even when on shift. I don't know how they do it I hate sleeping more then 7-8 hours I feel like I waste the day if I sleep to long at least that's how I felt at home here I almost wish I could sleep the deployment away like some of these guys lol. How many hours of sleep do you guys get I'm sure there's gonna be some of the younger guys that probably sleep all day. I don't think Snook knows what sleep is I always see him on here when I'm on and i remember hes 7hours behind me and hes up at 2 or 3am in the states and then he goes fishing I don't think he knows what sleep is lol.

Im gonna have to agree with the other guys in that you just got a bad spinner. Terminators are all i throw because of the amount of pike in my waters i fish its to much of a hassle to always re tune a spinner after every pike and even most bass terminators always snap back. Iv never had a bad swivel or blades the never rust out and always spin with ease.

I cant wait to get my hands on some of them new baits Big-O.

the SX was on sale last year when i got the Citica I could of got one for 75 but they were out of stock it had the red tag and everything.

My youngest hasn't gone fishing yet he just started walking last week and he will be 1 in 2 weeks so hes still got another year. Now my oldest Noah who just turned 3 in may hes a natural he will cast, reel in set hooks you name it I don't let him bait hooks though I don't feel like explaining to the wife why he has a hook in his finger lol. He out fished me and the wife last summer with a cane pole id throw a gulp spike on the hook for him hed start "casting" which at that time he just turned 2 consisted of smacking the water with the pole and he was getting a bluegill like every 30 seconds soon as id pick up his sponge bob pole to use my self hed have a fish. Now hes more refined as a fisherman and can cast his sponge bob pole on his own and reel it in he just doesn't have the patience to let it sit. Last time the wife went fishing she got bit like crazy but couldn't set the hook to save her life she was using a Frog and got scared every time one would strike and forgot to set the hook. When she was prego it was all about the grub and pre spawn smallmouth in the river with our first son with our youngest she was all about crappie fishing well Noah and I caught blue gill.

cool story man, my wife with both our boys was out fishing the day before she had them both were scheduled c sections so we knew they were coming there were no surprises we knew both were gonna be giants lol. Its funny she was a better fisherman or fisherwomen when she was pregnant I always told her she got it from me by injection hehe. I got a few pictures on her camera of her fishing 2 weeks past due with our first some battling giant carp and a few with her comparing a prespawn smallie (4.5lbs) belly to hers lol. Just think you can tell that story to your daughter that you were buying fishing line when her mother went into labor with her lol.

I have a pair of Bushnell 16x42's I love them I got them as a gift from my father in law last year I think they were on sale for like 50 or 60 bucks. There no nikon or leupolds but they are crystal clear and don't strain my eyes. I use em mostly for just shooting kinda like a spotting scope and also when im ground hog hunting and predator hunting fields. 16 power is way to much for in the woods but i mostly hunt for ground hogs and fox/coyotes in the woods and they work great.

I have to disagree with that. While jigs and flukes are my top 2 favorite presentations frogs are right up there with them it used to be all I threw I thought i was gonna be the next Dean Rojas but I throw a frog alot and iv had fish blow up on a frog iv had em bite it fight em for a bit and loose em just to throw the frog back to the same spot and hook them again. More often then not if the frog bites on they will keep smacking the frog over and over and over in my experiences. Heck one time I caught one on a boss rat tossed it back in and cast right after releasing and watched the same fish take off and smash the same lure I just took out of its mouth 30 seconds prior and that fish had be caught photographed released and bit again in under a 2 minute span. Honestly you just gotta play em out each and every time iv had times described like above and iv had times where they bump it and ignore everything else including the frog just got to find what the fish want. But in my experiences they usually come back for more like there ticked off the thing got away from them and want revenge.

Look threw Cheaper then dirt or a tactical shop and find a Sandpiper Of California bag I use one well I have 2 one I use for my tactical gear in the army then I have a 2nd bigger one for all my fishing gear. This is the one I have but I got it in coyote tan and ALOT cheaper shop around iv seen them for 40 bucks I paid 60 for mine http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=17896&tabid=548 Right now i have it here in Kuwait with me for fishing here there's 5 360 boxes, a big spool of line, cast net, tools, soft plastics in there and still have room.

Last year this is how I got my citica for $45 I just told the wife to go try and find me some revo's

my worst ones come when im not paying attention and on the back swing of the cast i snag my tackle bag, bushes, a cow fence lol and then let it rip lure stays snagged and my line just ugh it sucks lol it happens more then I like to admit lol.

I always cut most my mono and flouro ones because the line gets kinked and im worried i will get some thing good sized and it will break where it was kinked. braid doesn't have that issue but it also depends how bad it is some times its minor other times I retire the set up and dig it out at home its so bad.
