  1. Im not a senko guy I own several bags but never throw them Zoom fluke and super fluke in both sizes regular and jr i cant keep enough of em in my bag i'll buy like 5-10 bags at a time and within a week or 2 im out but I throw a fluke or double fluke rig thanks to bassresources video last year most of the time if not 100% the time
  2. Good luck im interested to see what ya come up with
  3. I used to have a small LMB in a 55 gal tank and fed him gold fish might be the way to go in your case for the winter months big fish tanks are all over CL
  4. yup never to many jigs I probably had a good 15-20 left over from last season then ordered another 45 from overstock bait at .99 a piece for the terminator jigs and a few tungsten ones. I will be ordered a bunch from both Siebert and Northstar closer to fall. I only have like 3 or 4 colors though White, Black/Blue, Green, and Brown/Orange mostly black and blue though its my favorite and best producer by far. Thats not even counting the 20+ bare football heads i have for rigging up spider jigs or just throwing a rage craw on and working like a over sized shaky head. Never to many jigs cuz most the time your throwing them into the most snag infested parts of the lake/river
  5. Looks like a 6'6" MF veritas it is to go with the 5 other veritas rods im going with edit: maybe not I just looked should of done it before hand but they don't offer a MF unless you go casting and I want a spinning set up so if I stick with abu its either a 6'3" vendetta2 MF or I go up to a 7'
  6. it looks like the material your jacket zipper is made of lol
  7. well what are your thoughts on the D Shad. I was just checking them out on TW I think I may order a bunch of them they look promising
  8. hmmmm interesting time to send the wife on a mission Friday
  9. What do you look for in a skipping rod. Im trying to put together my list of rods im gonna buy for this season and I really need a skipping set up. Im gonna go spinning with this set up idk if im ready to tackle skipping with a casting rod. I was thinking a MH-F 6'6" maybe even a 6' im not sure if I should go M or MH some times I like to throw light tubes or beaver style baits up under tree's and docks so im not sure if the MH will be to much but then im afraid a M wont have the power to get the fish out with poles and branches it could wrap me up in. I could always buy more then 1 lol
  10. is it all clearance items cuz that's how I got my citica for 45 bucks last year and hoping to do it again this year but stock up on revo's but if its just baits that wont work
  11. wow no ones mentioned a do it all wrench aka vise grips theres nothing you cant do with some vise grips and duct tape lol
  12. Not sure I'v caught a few growing up and my nephew caught one last year by hand in the yard when we had a flood. There so small i think there often over looked like hard to see at times they got good camo.
  13. I have a free melting pot as it turns out as well well if it works. My father in law has one he hast used in about 10 years he used to pour his own lead ball for his muzzle loader. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Idk though still I thought it would be fun to do on the side of reloading another hobby im picking up when I get back that though I KNOW I will save money on lol ammo is expensive.
  14. d**n every one had sarcasm in mind like I did so not I gotta go the serious route and say it kinda looks like it could be a type of stickleback
  15. Luck-E-Strike floating worm kits sold at walmarts trash the hooks that come with it and rig it weightless on a 2/0 skip gap and jerk it cross grass and lilly pads ad hold on tight.
  16. I'm definitely addicted to fishing and all things fishing im told this all the time by guys in my platoon. BR is bookmarked in my internet thingy, im on BR all the time, I have a huge stack of fishing magazines on my shelf here, I wasn't in Kuwait but 45 minutes and already had a fishing pole and tackle i bought off the guys we were replacing, I take notes pretty much wrote a book so far as i read how toos and magazines or posts basicly anything of what works under what conditions ect. I write it down then write what spots back home meet that criteria iv got it all broke down. When im home I fish everyday the only time I don't is when the ice is to thick to crash a lure threw and to thin to walk and fish on. When my so was born well my wife stayed in the hospital and I went home at night id stop by the river and fish. as much as I love fishing my family still comes first and foremost I don't get new rods or lures unless all bills are paid and food is on the table. I took my son and wife with me when ever they would ask or I would ask my 3 year old if I could go by my self. I only ever went for an hour or two usually so not to make wifey mad if the kids were miss behaving. Im more then addicted to fishing but like telmomarques said id rather be addicted to fishing then booze or drugs and would rather explain to the wife i was late because I was out fishing and stroll in smelling like fish then come in smelling like a bar or strip club as my brother in law likes to put it to her if she says I was gone to long when we go on our guy trips. I see no problem in it though because it doesn't get in the way of family if anything makes it stronger because my wife loves to fish and my oldest Noah who just turned 3 is more obsessed then I am my youngest well iv been gone for 7 out of the 11months hes been alive but im sure the influence will spill over and he will love it too. In fact according to the wife my oldest asks to watch the episodes of city limits I have on dvr and the bass pros lol.
  17. I do go threw a lot of jigs I fish every day rain or shine and jigs are my favorite presentation. I have considered just buying the head I was actually on your site Siebert checking out your packages for just the heads. I may just go that route for now and see where it takes me. I thought about doing it here on deployment the tieing part just ordering heads and material and making a bunch here on my free time but id probably go mad wanting to try em out and see what they do lol.
  18. Chris what ya doing chumming with protein shakes geez lol

Is pouring your own jigs really any cheaper then just buying them jigs are only 2-4 bucks usually. I want to get into pouring and tieing my own but if its gonna be more expensive I don't see the point other then satisfaction. I understand start up will be pricey but after the first few you make your money back. I have access to probably 100lbs in old wheel weights also. Whats the break down do you guys that pour and tie figure each jig costs you to make. Im not looking to go into business but if it saves a few bucks here and there threw out the season and I don't have to wait to order something im thinking it will be worth it.
  20. Iv had bass and pike both do it pike have taught me not to leave shinny spinners handing off the edge of the canoe I had one jump up and grab a spinner as I was throwing a frog if the butt of the rod wasn't under the seat of the canoe a little I would of lost the pole and fish instead just lost the fish after tryinging to get the pole out and other ones out of the way. The coolest thing i had happen to me was I had a bass jump out on the cast after a frog clear calm flat one morning i made a low side arm cast and a 2lber jumped right in line and timed with my frog as it buzzed over its head. Soon as it hit the water i started burning it back to where the fish landed and just as it got there it blew up on it.
  21. Love em when will the be available I got some credit cards that arnt maxed out yet......lol
  22. Its like that here in Kuwait even we well the MP's because I don't give a dam lol take everything seriously no camera's or phones any where at any time they freak and come take the thing and question the hell out of you. I'v been to a few facility's here that are just awesome so many cool "toys" but watched like a hawk and I had to jump threw alot of hoops just to be able to tour the place the rest of my guys sat in the truck I was the only one besides a few Sgt's that had a security clearance high enough to go and see what we did not that its really a secret I thought. If half these agency's that are out there now were around when I was a kid not that it was a long time ago but we used to make pipe bombs and blow stuff up all the time the bigger boom the better.
  23. haha my mistake I stoped watching the blue collar comedy a while ago they never have anything new
  24. from Buffalo and spend my winters at Ft. Drum I think I could handle a Texas winter lol.
