I feel ya going stir crazy. this is the longest iv ever gone with out fishing and I still get out every now and then to the pier for queen fish but its not the same as bass fishing. Over the past week iv watched all 58 of bassresource youtube videos some more then once so I could jot notes down. I'm constantly on this site or TW looking dreaming lol. Im gonna go nuts not able to catch a bass for over a year. I fish every day when im home either on my lunch breaks or on my way home after work and before work in the spring some times all 3 lol. How long are you gonna be on your meds for hopefully its not to long so you can get back on the water.

I just noticed this on Abu's web site now I want one did anyone get to play with one at icast??????????? it looks sharp like the Revo S baitcaster to match the Veritas rod Revo S spinning 20 size on a 6'9" Veritas ML for my river rod chasing smallmouth Edit: I just noticed also a SX spinning reel in the line up as well what am I gonna do! oh I know kiss my wifes ass and ask for both lol

Iv thought about doing it well getting into it I have a few SCUBA tanks but idk if id drive with them there in great shape I used to use them for paintball refills. 2 of my buddys dive though one still does almost every weekend the other hardly at all because of expenses I guess idk I think it would be cool go down see how fish react to cover and lures in different conditions plus all the lures you could find lol id go to where everyone seems to get hung up or at least where I do and get some cranks back.

Right now im in the process of changing everything to Abu rods and reels. I still have my few shimano's and BPS extremes I just like the Abu line up and how they feel in my hand I'v always like Abu Garcia sense I was a little kid learning to fish with cardinals and my Abu Kingfisher bait casting combo I wont at a derby when I was like 10. Im sure I will end up liking another reel maybe and rod and changing it up again but right now its Abu Garcia.

i know you can get shallow spools for the MGX from japan on ebay for like 120

any one see that at iCAST I Just got the email from Abu about it. Wonder what the prices will be like probably not as bad as the Japanese tackle in my other thread bout JDM stuff. Im thinking my SX could go for that long handle and eva nobs

x2 on the Revo sx I have one I use as my jig/flip/pitch/punch reel mated with a veritas 7'6" MHF 50# PP and I love it and the drag is very strong and smooth if you back it off to let some be pulled I dragged a 20' branch outa the mud and weeds I had been snagged on so if I can do that and that was 2 seasons ago and its still going strong I have no worries bout a fish.

I wish there were just parts to make our reels look like that the handle and star are sick. I wonder actually I used to have a guy who made me custom paintball parts out of aluminum, delrin, and carbon fiber all I had to do is draw sketch and he could make it I wonder hmmmmmmmm the mouse wheel in my head is turning I got some ideas lol.

See the problem with going out just throwing jigs is once you learn it and start stacking em with the jig you don't ever put it down and everything else you bring is just added weight to carry around lol that's what happened to me when I learned jigs its all I threw forever seriously like 2 seasons just jigs then I seen bassresources double fluke video and same thing nothing but a double fluke rig or a jig or both like on a swim jig with leader tied to the jig then a fluke on the leader.

mend it would be the method of choice as far as making a mold no clue

I have spro, TruTungsten, Snagproof, and Scum frogs and honestly I like the scum frog the best yeah they get torn up easy but there like 3 bucks if I can get 10 fish on it its already doing better then most plastics every ones in love with and they hold out much longer then 10 fish. the biggest thig that destroys my scum frogs are northern pike but id rather have em tear up a cheap scum frog making it look like swiss cheese then a 10 dollar spro. I put a little dab of super glue on my scum frogs when they get really bad they never seem to take on water or sink if I get all the holes. White with a white and red skirt and "eat me" written on the bottom lol
